@IOwnLiam I think Dubstep in its purest form will eventually lose popularity, but I'm with you on the opinion of it's great hearing influences tied together. One song in particular that's done that for me so far this year is "Electrify" by Jakwob- taking influences of Dubstep, Drum and Bass and Pop- something which is truly innovative. The Post-Dubstep movement's quite cool too. I guess I don't really mind Dubstep, but I'm not its biggest fan in its purest form. :)

In five years time, listeners and producers are probably going to be looking back at the genre thinking to themselves "What the hell was all that about?". Let's face it, Dubstep, generally, is an imbalanced, messy form of music. Give it time, and I reckon Drum and Bass will become popular again. Why? Because people love synced, structured music and will soon bore of hearing wobbly synths.

All genres effect the future of music production, the side of dubstep you see that is unbalanced is only 1 part of the scene, it doesn't have to be just about the wobble. Well produced dubstep can teach alot of other genres a thing or two, its when producers start to blend different genres together to get the best of both worlds that things get interesting! Mind you I love drum'n'bass♥
