  • That 39 Footer is more powerful than Jaws at it's biggest. Teaupoo's waves are WAY thicker than that of any wave around, not to mention its only about 5 feet above razor sharp reef. That wave would've killed him.

  • It looks similar to Lairds wave, but that's Manoa. Teahupoo has to be, foot for foot, one of the heaviest waves out there..along wit a few of those West Oz shelves...Jaws taller, Teahupoo heavier..

  • Yeah if you were listening he said "biggest wave ever ridden at Tahiti's Teahupoo." The biggest wave ever surfed was at Log Cabins on Oahu in 1998. Biggest wave ever filmed = Jaws.
