This is the early version of the RCA SCR-288, transmitter half. This version was the set intended to be exported to the (Swedish? can't remember right now), and had the RX and TX on seperate chassis. The later version that was in service during the war used a single chassis. (End quote.) That means you have 1/2 of the early version Army BC-474 transmitter, the transmitter part. Built by RCA.

Built by RCA, no doubt. The oscillator
tuning knob and scale over on the right
are the same as in the Army BC-474,
and the stacked meters are the same
