I find that Skins just doesn't apply as much to American Teenage life, especially due to the extra american laws on censorship and the drinking age being a rather strict 21, it's a very different teenage culture, although to be fair I agree with some of the comments, sometimes it's sick living like Skins and really not giving a shit, but sometimes it gets too dramatic, plus drugs fuck with your head sometimes, I always get ill as fuck for a few days after taking coke or pills at a party >.<

I think if you really like SKINS UK then instead of hating on the remake you should just appreciate the fact that the original was so good people decided to make another one with a more western vibe to it... which that's all it really is.

When you compare them both have their ups and downs. The British version feels MUCH MORE realistic than the American version. But the American version looks better when it comes to like the production and how clean cut it looks compared to the UK version...

It's not about where you're from, but the things you experience and the issues you go through as a teen and that is UNIVERSAL.
