  • que carro tan hermoso felicidades yo tengo uno 1959 lo estoy remodelando acaso tienes informacion sobre el modelo? felicidades tienes una joya

  • Congratulations to a very nice car ! I am the lucky owner of a 1963 Mk II 3.8 litre, and I will NEVER sell it. That is a car that just puts a big smile on your face. When the world runs out of oil I'll just put it in our living room (well, when I think about it - my wife may have some objections)

  • You can always get another wife.

  • Lovely car! The finest saloon car ever - they sure don't make them like that anymore. My neighbour had one (also in black) in the early 70'ties. And on a hot summerday we often drove to the beach in that car. I've never forgotten even I was only 5-6 years old then ...

  • real classic masterpiece! 5 stars

  • my dads got a 1964 mk2 and a 1983 xj6 there good cars

  • I'm thinking about buying a Jag MkII but the prices seem to differ wildly. I'm not looking for a show winner - just one to go places with my wife at the weekend. What are the core differences between models and years etc. Thanks (in advance)

  • 3 engine options:

2.4 (engine a bit too small)

    3.4 (very sweet running)

3.8 (the grunter and only model with limited slip diff.)

  • My fathers got a 1964 MKII 340,

What fuel should I be running it on...

    Unleaded 91 or 96?

    Cheers

  • Mine runs on unleaded ok, perhaps pinks a bit under load if the distributor advance isn't correct, this is important. I also have an inline fuel thingy called a fuelstar, supposed to add tin to the fuel. Some say they work others reckon they're baloney. All I know is my car is fine on unleaded but I do tend to use the higher octane if I can.

  • Early years have double ribbed bumbers, later (1967ish) 240's and 340's have single line bumper plus seats are usually vinyl and no fog lights. Manual with overdrive best but auto's ok too. An old uncared for MK2 may have loose steering and worn rubber mounts. Big rust area at bottom forward of the front doors in the closing panels/wheel arch bottom. Some english cars may have rust under back seat in corners. Low oil pressure reading may just be the sender.

  • @AndyWhite007 mine cost me 2 grand done it up sold it 10000

  • Lovely !

  • Magnificent Jaguar! What vintage is it?

  • It left the factory 23rd October 1962. The first owner took possesion in December 1962.

  • Great; can't wait until I get my own...

  • yeah the reclining seats are very rare in australia my dad has done up mk 2's before and never seen them they were a facorty extra aprently.

  • my father has yet started to restore his mk 2 he has 2 of them and an v12 xjs i am 17 and looking at buying a jaguar xj6 1972 in resonable condition little rust but great video.

  • is that the original steering wheel becuase in australia it is very different my father has a 3.4 manual mk 2 1964 and has rare extras such as rearveiw mirrors and reclining seats.Congrats your jaguar looks fantastic hope you enjoy her.

  • No, I bought the steering wheel not so long ago actually, if you have reclining seats they are indeed rare. I have a Jaguar Heritage certificate proving all my engine numbers are original. I added the wire wheels about 10 years ago.

  • looks like youve got yourself a very nice example of our beautiful Coventry car. The body looks particularly good. Bit worried about the amount of whatever was coming out of the exhaust initially, but then it appeared to have cleared, hope all is well in that dept

  • Yes, all is well, it was a brisk morning and with the choke on it runs a little rich. Once I'm up and running it all comes right.

  • Glad all is well. Owned a 120Roadster until recently, would email you a picture but it seems its not possible through this medium
