"Gimmie me one more time to see Billy Loes lose a grouond ball in the sun" LOL
Loes just passed away on July 15th - and btw Carl Eskine backed up Loes claim about the grounball in the sun. Late afternoons in October the sun was low in thes sky and came pouring though an plate glass opening eye level at Ebbetts field. If you watch a film of the play, Loes had his cap pulled down way over his face on the play - but just one glance forward would blind you with sun spots.
Brings tears to the eyes.

My goodness, but you bring Garrison Keillor to mind with your lyrics and with your singing! Well done, friend.

Is it weird that I'm thinking of Classy Freddie Blassie singing "Pencil Neck Geek"?

Ahh. Good luck with that! While you're at it, can you bring the Whale back to Hartford?
Seriously good stuff though. And "Shea" is much more poetic than junky "Citifield."
