Wow. I was in 15 in 1991. These songs bring back memories of cruising with my friends, talking on the phone til 4 am with girls and just having fun during the summer.
I'm so glad i was a teen bcak then, aww the golden era of music i love it got most of this music though R&B, Hip-Hop, rock and roll jazz all music was great back then.
awesome playlist but i thought there would've been some BBD in there somewhere.... i recall them winning a couple American Music Awards in '91. Nevertheless thanks for the memories!
i need help in tryin to find a group..i think they jus had a one hit wonder.. i mber them as MBK... it was a trio of guys...early 90's.. I noe its not alot of info...put if sumone can help me!!I l looked up the acronyms...and its a bunch of asian videos n asian countries... pls help...email me at tearieye@yahoo.com..thanks
Too bad today's music lacks the greatness of 90s R&B, Hip Hop. I really miss this kind of music, it would play in the movie theatre before your movie starts, in malls, food courts, etc. I miss buying a cassette tape from actual record stores.
Screw this decade, and the last decade. i believe that the last decade was named The Noughties. I'm not sure what this decade is named though. If anyone has a time machine, invite us all. When we get there, I'd like to pick a box of Ghostbuster cereal.
i love that there are zero dislikes!!! Who couldnt love the the early 90's. . . i was born in 91 && def remember singing & listening to all these songs as i grew up!! nothings BETTER

GOD! i made friends with Doc G from PM Dawn at an old school hip hop show at a local casino in 09! that night was great! actually those 2 nights i saw those shows was just so damn fun! and i got Money B's autograph on a digital underground tshirt i bought!
@anduin1 Greetings! Even though I grew up on this music in the vid, I somewhat agree about the cheese factor. Lyrically and the musical structure/composition are more solid than the commercial sounds today. The production is very weak (1998-present). Many songs have been built on hooks, choruses, and vamps. That's not that great! Peace

@khaadimone Actually 1991 is correct. Forever My Lady came out in 1991 and Diary of a Mad Band came our in 1993 and then The Show, The AfterParty, and The Hotel1995 :)
REC...PAUSE...REC....never played a tape that year. And when summer hit, it was all about the love songs...Ralph kept me loving the old and Jodeci made me love the new.... now it's just the "SAME SONG" but "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday"
@RpKingman king its because clear channel (a conservaive based company) bought up 90 percent of the terrestial radio stations and they just pushed all of this music out so only there artists would be heard. Its a kind of smash and grab measure since the stations were out of money. You can still hear this stuff on satellite radio stations and here of course.
radio played some good shit back then but still yet feel musically deprived. but everyday I come on here I feel less and less deprived as I discover more and more less known and under rated 80's and 90's tracks if I ever find a time machine and go back to the Dec 30 1979 the only thing I'm taking is My Bulletproof 3 terrybyte filled with 80's and 90's hits
which I will find some way to transfer to tape and get me a walkman and I will be eating Burger Chef everyday when I get there
ah at 4:00 I always play Summertime at Full blast I've been blasting it ever since it came out and when I was leaving on the last day of school and now I just blair it when june hits
Cool News I Think the 90's Performers Heard us say were tired of the garbage today Qtip From A tribe Called Quest Has a new Cd his songs have a 90's feel to it and Mint Condition have a New Cd called the E life their New songs have a 90's feel Type And Rapheal saadiq From Tony Toni Tone Has A new Video called 100 Yadr dash And it has a real Feel to it
OMG!!!! When I was in the 3rd grade, Another Bad Creation was THE band. I remember playing kickball, & we'd all sing "Iesha" or "At The Playground"! Those little boys must have kids of their own by now. LOL We're old.
Tribe Called Quest, Cypress Hill & LL really stand out from the rest of the Hip Hop.
Summertime was cool.
All the R& B sounded the same. If if was fast,..it had that Teddy Riley sound to it,...
if it was slow,..it had that "boys 2 men/jodeci" sound to it.
