This was a band from York Pa. I was in the band "The Soul Clinic"{shes so sharp @ youtube} and after we broke up, three of us joined the guitar and bass player from the Loose Enz to form the band " Trained Labor". We did covers of Jethro Tull with an electric flute and viola. The lead singer was Eric Gutierez he also played a mean hendrix.
I WILL HAVE TO ASK THE SONG WRITER ABOUT WHAT HE MEANT ON THE LYRICS THIS BAND USED TO PRACTICE IN DALLASTOWN PA SOMETIMES IN MY NEIGHBORS BASEMENT IF IM NOT MISTAKEN THE FIRST 45 THEY DID WAS RECORDED IN WINDSOR PA AND THE SECOND IN PHILA. AND DEFITENETLY NOT A DOORS RIP OFF
on that picture they all are showing just one eye....music industry is part of an agenda, u can pretty much see by the lyrics that is not a very positive song
When I was a Kid in 67, I used to go the Stewartstown Community hall to watch this band perform. They were the coolest of the cool. I was absolutely stunned by how good they were. I couldn't wait to hear them play Light my Fire. I remember they had all their VOX Beatle amps hooked together across the state. It was an awesome sound. So glad I found this after all these years.
Good song!!, as a doors fan i think that they maybe were just influenced by them...good point about the first doors' album cover hehe...I bet that the guy wearing the glasses was the keyboard player hehehe
Everything about this band is a rip off of the doors, swimming in the doors slipstream, everything down to the style of drum playing, the guitar playing, the organ and the voice. Everything that is except for the lyrics... which is different and quite good actually. However there is not enough lyrics and it's a wet fart carbon copy of the doors - no way near as talented as the great Morrison.

This was included on "30 Seconds Before The Calico Wall" --in my opinion the most mindmelting psych comp to ever hit the market.

I used to see these guys play at the Psychorama, a teen club in Dillsburg, PA in 1970.
I remember that I didn't think much of 'em at the time, but this single is GREAT.
And so what if he sounds like Morrison?
I wouldn't go asfar as saying it's a Doors RIP-OFF...what song are they ripping off?
They are obviously INFLUENCED by the Doors - but is that a BAD thing?
I think not!

Too much like Jim Morrision, but still intresting

Listen to the lyrics... compare the cover to Doors' first one... hear the singer's voice.
This rips the pants off from the Doors. Makes me sick.

A blatant Doors ripoff, but effective in its own right. Dark and moody indeed. Thanks for posting this rarity.
