Well, if Iraq didn't want to be invaded, then maybe they shouldn't have violated the 1992 cease fire agreement. The Persian Gulf War was ended by a ceasefire agreement which the Iraqi's starting violating in 1994.

If a war ends with a ceasefire agreement and one of the countries violates said agreement, then the other country has every RIGHT to resume hostilities.

If they didn't want their nation occupied, then they shouldn't have violated the ceasefire.

Iraq began violating these conditions in 1994.

1. continuing to fire on coalition aircraft patrolling the no fly zones.

2. failing to allow inspectors free access to inspect Iraq's compliance with the ceasefire agreement.
