You can buy X-link Kai and make it lan connect to it, then it will connect you to others on the server, which is the same as infrastucture but not as much a pain in the ass. Also, you can talk on X-link so its probably better.
the only thing i heard is that there is only downloadable content using the interfracture feature like new quest and clothes for your pet pig i saw it on the gamespot interview from freedom 2
