I bought the album this song is from years and years ago. It still sounds pretty good but at the same time i can't help but feel it's a hasn't aged well and i think i still prefer Legendary Pink Dots/Skinny Puppy/Other Underground Inc. artists more. Damage Manual is still fucking amazing though! I still can't believe i found their single One. I have to say my favorite kind of music genre hands down would have to be under the Industrial banner.
I've got the one-sided 12" of this. Wish someone would post the full version. By the way, when I say one-sided, I didn't mean that the disc was some kind of spatio-temporal anomaly, no sir. One side is playable, the other is embossed with the band's sheep and crossed hypos logo. Top tune!
@evilclunt Hey, If you liked THAT, you'll probably like this as well... In a similar vein of odd vinyl, I also have a copy of 'Sin', by Nine Inch Nails - on Nine Inch Vinyl. It really looks odd, when put with all my 10'' vinyl. You hate me now, don't you? lol ;D
I watched these perform on the Thekla in Bristol in the 90s they were fantastic. Tidy tune for the car man. Dream On..... 15 minutes of fame! They sure got it.
@s4mth16ngstr24nge : Leftfield (Leftism Album), Underworld (dubnobassinmyheadman or best of), FC Kahuna, Simian Mobile Disco, Goldfrapp (We Are Glitter remix album), Orbital (Satan), 808 State (In Yer Face), Future Sound Of London (Dead Cities) etc...
from any era. dont just get me started. get me goin. the more bands you mention, including specific dope tracks, the more for me to check out. i also like prodigy from the uk, even the (relatively) recent single "omen." i also like aphex twin (especially "alberto balsam") and chemical bros. ("3 little birdies down"). i like many genres of music. "psycho" by infected mushroom as well. if you can or want to, recommend me stuff more subversive, edgy, w/an attitude. Mysteriously.
does anyone know which sod song this if from? i have a bootleg on tape from back in the day and i dont know the song.sounds like its off a record? HELP!!!!!!!!
I think it might be Suzy Q -- in any case it's on the first album, which I only have on vinyl and my turntable's broken :( Look, just buy the first album, you NEED it in your life.
its from 15 mins of fame - the 12" version. the 12" was 15 mins long, had the album version mixed into a hardfloor mix (which is where the disco bitch stuff comes from) and then into a more chilled out version...
Welcome to the Underground, who knows whats going on there? Sex, Drugs, Cash, Weapons, Beutiful Girls, What else? You'll never know whats going on there, all of the dirty nasty things, see 8MM, The Young Americans and you'll understand, it's the same with teenagers, several girls, sex,smokes,...You'll get hooked for it you'll want more and more, ti'll kick you out of the clubs.
RE: my earlier comment - apart from how poignant the lyrics are to Big Brother Reality TV, there is a nice touch with the posters in the background at the start of the clip; 'VOTE - SHEEP ON DRUGS'
what hooked me on them is their tight anti-"american dream" myth, slogan-like lyrics. 'skyscraper hell.. no future.. power=money=equals sex" can be sensitive lyrics after 9/11 - w/the "skyscraper hell." some say theyre too techno-y but they have a rawness about them. they have particular industrial clonking, ripping, zipping and incubating/pulsating soundfx that i really dig.
somebody post "tv usa" videoclip - i love those lyrics' critique of u.s. popculture/ad-brainwashed and vacuous, socially violent/apathetic, horror-obsessed+serialkiller-manufacturing society.
I love Sheep On Drugs ....always have and always will and robertrobert28uk they sound fuck all like the chemical brothers what an insult to sheep on drugs that is !
