This can't be true because you can't know if the opponent would have been able to return the ball or not.

@PornobrillenAli it doesn't mather , if the ball touched the court it is an ace , however where rules get tricky is that the ball is supposed to bounce twice , or bounce once in the court and then hit an object , but the fact that it only bounced once would be difficult to call.

The ball didn't bounce at all, not even once.

In order to bounce the ball has to have a distance from the ground at the begining, then the distance between the ground and the ball has to get smaller up to the point where the distance between the ball and the ground is zero (ball touches the ground) and then the distance between the ball and the ground has to get bigger than zero which is not the case in this case.

In my opinion the serve is not finished yet.

The ball doesn't move anymore but in an abstract view it is still "moving".

So if the opponent managed to get the ball over the net out of its current position by only touching it once then the game had to go on.

And if then Andy can't reach this ball the point must be given to Andys opponent.
