  • for a 27 y/o? is he 27?

  • I haven't watched this in years. I love this video.

  • personally i think he's pretty cool.

not because he has a lot of friends

or wears the right clothes, he knows

who he is and has his own opinions.

i like this vid, and feel bad for the people

who make fun of him... they are too

    ignorant to accept difference.

  • You don't get laid walking through sewer drains at night @_@

  • 4yrs after you posted this on scopetech and i still watch it. whatever happened with him?

  • "Fighting over religion is like fighting over who has the better imaginary friend." such a great quote

  • isnt that wierd how society is so adapted to labeling personalities

the way society labels smart people is them listening to classical music, being beat up,wearing not up to date clothes etc.

i think this guy made the decision to be the smart guy. im sure he'll soon realize that being socially related to people is a very important part of a healthy life.

  • everyone is different basically

    and thats cool

  • wow this guy is wierd but interesting he's funny....

  • To be wise..Anybody can be wiser. He is 'wierd', so what, he's not a bad person! Perfect view of life. I'm lucky to know alot of wisdom too.People should seek wisdom for a better life. I'm lucky to understand and love 'love'. Many don't know, so the world looks bad. It's about understanding and to simply try to be as happy as you can after something horrible have happend. It's so simpel, and i'm 'normal'. I do not understand people that do not understand!

  • Not a snitch im proud for that. So by the way then where is my milk money punk!!!hahaha

  • this dude will destroy the world some day, i like him.

  • whats weird about him i cant tell

  • I was in class with this guy. The guy's got potential, but no social skills at all which makes it hard enough to get along with him.

  • geno-level 3

geno level 3-CB are individuals few in large concentrations of (People) personalities, but abundant in lesser concentrations (sparse) of people..

    in short few in indeed.

    good work.

  • he is my hero

  • this dude is going to save the world one day

  • this person just doesn't have people skill like the lady said he just doesn't have good communication to other ppl. well i think that calling him names and other stuff is just mean and nasty so sumtimes i wonder y ppl come to a country where ppl call u names and make fun of u for being diffrent.... fell free to argue wit my comment.. America isnt that great and that my opinion. ^_^

  • I agree with u

  • he is an exact replica of my aunt. i'm a little weirded out by that fact alone.

  • wow that was actually really good

Makes me want to create a documentary

  • Excellent job on the interview and editing. I thought this was a professional job until I read the description.

I've known kids like that throughout my life, and they always seem weird to some in school, but they almost invariably grow up to be very successful adults.

  • Huh, interesting video. Poor kid.

I think you definitely have potential as a documentary filmmaker. I'd have enjoyed some more insight into the kid's every day life, though. What sort of stuff does he do outside of school? You should have tried going places with him and filming that.

  • very interesting

  • Everyone has something to offer. I appreciated this documentary jonny. Great job.

  • Very Interesting, It's sad but unfourtunately true. And that's why some American socities are so injust and full of violence and abuse.

  • This person is not weird or strange. We are all weird and strange.

  • complete freak.

  • We go to the same college. He saw me as someone he could talk to when I tried to avoid him. I would have to leave the room everyday because of that stress. Worse, we just happen to have the same first name and same initials and it made it worse in that class. I'm not a violent person, in fact I'm Buddhist. I wanted to severely harm him and EVERYONE prayed that I would. Even today I see him and pray that he not talk. He says hello and calls me Kevin, after Kevin Klein the actor. I despise him.

  • Excellent! We can learn a lot from people with Asperger's. As Temple Grandin said, they're like an anthropologist on Mars, but every so often they give us insight.

  • That was excellent.

I'd love to see more interviews with "Andrew" but in a more structured setting, or perhaps it wouldn't work as well this way but rather just to let him "riff" off topics.

    Overall - Great work!

  • Sorry for the rude comment Andrew but I just want to see you whip the ass of the guy who broke your wrist

  • He needs a stronger sense of JUSTICE so he will fight for himself. You dont just "remove" someones grill with a bowie knife if you were "meaner and more aggressive".

You dont allow someone to break your arm and not press charges because "maybe I'm too chatty" "some people find me annoying". Maybe if he had siblings he would understand the concept of justice a little better (or more testosterone- he looks prepubescent).

  • Kevin French anyone?

  • all the classic signs of A.S are there. asocial behavior, the misunderstanding of others, random factoid knowledge, and body language.

  • there are at least a few of these kinds of kids at my school, they would be very successful and popular if only they had some social skills, there is nothing wrong with him, he just never learned how to communicate well. and because of the little quirks that these people have they are often openly hated and ridiculed

  • and his view on religion is so true

  • interesting view, weird I must admit, but some of his responses were pretty good I am I would support him in that sense.... but he is sooo creepy!

  • wow...this is amazing.

  • He's not really a profound thinker, sure he sheds his insight on things, but the thing is that it's his insight entirely. It's bound to be more indepth and immersive than thinking of society as a whole.

  • i promise you, you're right about his home life... after all, the acorn doesn't fall far from the tree

  • He's got a good point. Who are they trying to emulate?

  • Paul Wall

  • That was fascinating. 5'd.

  • He's a thinker, but nothing particularly notable from this video. Not very well versed in true/false, but mostly speaks from relative perspective.

  • he looks like little bill gates

  • Incredible, I could have kept watching that all evening!

  • I went to college and then law school. I've talked to many professors. This kid is extremely smart and acts and speaks like many of the professors I've had. Introverted, lacking social skills, huge vocabulary. This kid is a thinker.

  • This guy is awesome. My hero!

  • hello sandwich man

  • Go now and Interview his parents! Now!

  • i liked that. I liked his life advice at the end.

  • Yeah he is a member on our forum S L 8 O R D I E . C O M - USER: SNO. Crazy, he's famous now!

  • This guy is awesome. I especially loved the confused peer commenting, after the speech about bone structure, on Andrew's "talking about nothing"." Science is seen as fools speech, bling is king, and in the end I find myself agreeing that "nobody can drive anymore"

  • He needs to get laid

  • Amazing!!

  • Neato.

  • I'd be his friend.

  • dude, that guy is awesome. He is brilliant. If there is any more footage it would be great to see it. Seriously

  • A.K. Rocks!

  • We need more, this is interesting!

  • one too many female chomosomes.

  • His name could only be Pat.

  • Does this kid have Asperger's Syndrome?

  • Everytime I here someone say the name of this ailment, it sounds like: "Ass Burger Syndrome."

  • That's what I call it -- and I have Asperger's Syndrome. Yup. Ass Burger's.

  • I have Ass Burger's too. :D

  • Did you say Gandhi is stupid?

  • Is this Andrew Konopka the vintage racecar driver?!? Google "Andrew Konopka" for links. (since it seems it won't alow me to do so myself)

  • I don't know if he could be a genius. He could be a serial murderer as well (cas it's really thin line between these two IMHO ;oP ), but that interview is interesting for me and well done. I'm not usually patient enough for 9 minutes long net video, but these were well spent. Or it just hit my todays mood ;o)

  • He's definitely no Andrew 'Ender' Wiggin, that's for sure

  • Wow.. he makes me feel slow. I'm serious, this kid is going somewhere some day. SO be nice to him now.

  • I agree...brilliant.

    Brilliant subject matter, brilliant film.

Although I didn't think he was all the strange..very intelligent.

  • Now we know what Janet Reno looked like when she was a young man.

  • This is a very interesting video... and kudos to him for willing to go on camera... and to the videographer for posting. I'd like to find out his reaction to the popularity this video is generating... and his reactions in regards to the Digg troll asshats and their lame put-down comments.

  • genius...

  • Kind of person I would be friends with.

  • How is he a genius? He's a default stereotypical teen who thinks he's better than everyone else. I know because I used to be one. We (me back than and him) "loved" people. we wanted to save the human race but we found out that nobody here cares.

    TBA

  • Bill gates Is also a shifty looking fellow with glasses, So that might explain..

  • is it a boy or a girl.. it's kinda androgenous

  • ilike this guy

  • Wow...

  • It's Pat.

  • It's called high functioning autism...or aspergers syndrome. Some have suggested that Bill Gates has Aspergers. They can be very very intelligent but have difficulty with social skills. A lot of the things that we learn intuitively about social behavior has to be learned in steps and with explaination. Cool kid.

  • i think this kid is neat, and that's no joke.

  • I met a guy like this once, worked at the servo down the road, wierd shit.

  • He's cool, but I wouldn't want to be him ... or even know him for that matter. :/

  • Man who is this guy. Odd fellow but he says some interesting stuff.

  • @ Geoffchang before i read your comment. I was like this guy like Bill Gates or will be the next Bill Gates. LOL

  • please more interviews with him!!!

  • Please more interviews of him!!!

  • Nice work, this was oddly engaging. There's something honest about it.

  • This guy most likely has asperger's syndrome.

  • I've met worse kids, he just talks too much.

  • 27 years old?

    You know?

  • Ya know? Ya know? Ya know?

  • Seems like a really smart person.

  • He has a very unique view on the world. Something we will never understand.

  • Is that a boy or a girl?

  • OMFG, I know this kid. I go to school with him. Andrew is truely THE wierdest kid on the planet.

  • This guy is so right about everything.

  • it infuriates me that this guy cannot couple his intelligence with a moderate degree of social awareness, he'd be alot more successful with people (for instance his tormentor) if he simply applied his natural affinity for understanding to the subject of social inclusion

  • Wow... this kid is really interesting. He has some good advice. "Sing daily", my favorite. I hope he does well. He seems odd, but I can tell he's a sweet heart.

  • Wow that dude is cool.

  • Cool...not afraid to speak his mind.

  • I always enjoy people that understand themselves.

  • I would hate to see his parents.

  • i would like to be friends with that person.

  • please do more interviews..i can relate to this guy. ask more of his opinions....i understand when the girl commented that he's book smart but not a people person...i too am like that simply because at a young age i immersed myself in books and became detached from the people around me. PLEASE do more interviews he's cool in my opinion...ask him to make a youtube account or something...if he like's to talk I'll listen.

  • great video

  • Brilliant.

  • Yeah he is a member on our forum - USER: SNO. Crazy, he's famous now!

  • i can hear his brain throbbing.

  • Asperger's Syndrome

  • Asperger's Syndrome

  • This kid is not Bill Gates. Period

  • I would have to be "aggressive" on this one.

Anyone who fails to account for the highest denominator to the existential question fails completely in their equation.

More so, everyone pretending to get "the equation" and present it with more elaborate formula is defeated by the one who presents the shorter formula.

"Strangeness" is the product of a collective abhorence to a particular phenomena observed by a social grouping.

  • phenomenon

  • i agree with GeoffChang and 1337ozzy

  • I think that this is a great video. It wasn't made to make fun of this kid 'A.K.', but it really does give a great deal of insight into who he is, and what makes him tick.

He strikes me as being vastly more profound and well thought out than perhaps 99% of the people that I have ever met.

  • definately bill gates if he succeeds like him.

  • as a former nerd, i thought i would empathize with this kid... but he's too narcissistic for me to believe that he'll ever come out of that shell -- poor guy =[

  • did the poster actually try and bleep out the kids name, right after we read it within the first five seconds of the film?

  • He's got some good points.

  • that kid is 27?? That kid does need to chill out. The problem with this world is that the stupid are so sure and the intelligent are full of doubt.

  • What he says is Awesome, but still he acts very 'smug' and like a 'know it all' --- poor people skills

  • meh, this is moderatly interesting

  • "ghandi is stupid" ghandi is a real person... not a religious fantasy

  • I'd do him.

  • haha, you're more of a freak than he is!

  • i dont know what he did to piss that guy off.. i cant possibly imagine what...

  • This kid is very insightfull.

  • We need to get him high! He'll straighten up!

  • more people should listen to him

  • hes 27...

  • seems pretty smart...pretty odd though

  • damn department store personnel.. dont know where anythign is these days

  • Am i the only one who thinks this is Young Hitler?

  • Yes, you are.

  • I really agree with his view on religion

  • One day he'll be your boss.

  • this guy is just cool

  • No. No damnit. He's not cool. And Napoleon Dynamite wasn't a good movie. Get it through your heads people. Not caring what you look like and saying random stuff without thinking does NOT make you cool. Hell it doesn't even make you a nerd! It makes you a TARD.

  • I think the guy does more thinking in 5 minutes than you did your entire life.

  • He really didn't say anything profound. Plus, wisdom and intelligence are no excuse for asocial behavior. Some of the wisest and most intelligent people were very sociable. Benjamin Franklin anyone?

  • Aspergers, anyone?

  • "no excuse for asocial behavior"???

You do realize this kid likely has a mild form of autism (at the very least ADD, or both) and so it's not really an "excuse" so much as it is "the way he just is".

  • He very well may have for autism, ADD, or aspergers, but people are making a big deal out of what he said and he really didn't say anything profound. If he were to have such a disorder, my sympathies go out to him, but that's no reason to hang on his every word.

  • Wait, he's 27 years old? What kind of school is he in?

  • "It's like fighting over who has the better imaginary friend" nice..

  • He doesn't seem that bad. I could probably have a conversation with him, he's not too disconnected from the world at least.

  • 27? I presumed he was 15!

  • He could be a genius.

  • 27? gtfo of life

  • He is one of the most down to earth and "wisdomist" people I have ever seen

  • kid is pretty interesting just a little awkward when trying to talk to people. but i was pleasantly surprised with the video good stuff.

  • From the others interviewed in the video it seems like this guy is looked at as odd or an outcast. Which in a way saddens me, he seems very well spoken, and educated, and just an overall intelligent person, and depsite those qualitys people like this do not fit into what is considered the norm. Dosent make the norm look so appealing.

  • Yeah, I like this guy. Give him my best regards, who ever filmed him.

  • Don't be making fun of him because he will probably become the next bill gates and you will be very sorry. With 46.8 Billion dollars, you can sent a lot of hate mail with the push of a button

  • This movie is really really lame. There were 4 dudes like that at my high school. I'm not even going to guess how many are on campus.

  • i can see that dude being some rich ceo one day

    geek out dude!:)

  • not bill gates, lewis black.

hes got lewis black written all over him. Cept lewis black seems more normal.

    No offense kid

  • Why don't you just put Napoleon Dynamite 2 in the title?

  • that was actually pretty interesting. i had no idea what to expect but that kid isn't really that bad or weird. i mean it could be worse, but he just needs to work on his social skills and apparently listen to the other person instead of talking non-stop. (according to one of the speakers) anyways good stuff.

  • JOOP!

  • It's Pat!

  • dude if the grillz were "fixed" to your teeth, your teeth would rot out.

  • That kid is very intellegent. Makes you think twice about discrimination of kid like this,

  • The sad thing is most would look at this kid as weird, and yes he is a bit different from the norm -but that's not bad. Most wouldn't want to be around him or be his friend, and that is sad. To me this video shows this kid is probably one of the most honest, nicest and ginuine person on the planet. And the words of advise at the end are great and we should all strive to be sucha good person.

  • i like that comment. he is ok in my book.

  • OMG "Fighting over religion is like fighting over an imaginary friend" Thats classic... GREAT!

  • There's a kid just like this at my school. He has some sort of social syndrome where he can't really interact well with people, but when you talk to him, wow, he says some amazing things.

  • 40 year old virgin

  • Atheist... lol.
