Even if you had more money, in order to achieve a natural cinema look, sharp and well contrasted image today I'd only recommend you to get a HDSLR like the Canon EOS 7D, or the fullframe 5D if you can afford it. These machines are cheap, they shoot real digital cinema with no needs of filters or extreme color grading. and are being used in music videos and movies more often than ever, they are the next step in quality. Invest in good lenses and you're ready. Good luck with your choice!
Hi FanPacker1 I would like to do my own music videos, but I dont have too much money like 6700. So what kind of camera did you recomend me for $2000 aprox?
Of course I want a camera as well as your Cinealta camera for this price!!
While this is definitely a great looking shot, I'm skeptical of it being a fair test for the camera (be that the intention here or not). This has got to be of the most lenient and forgiving lighting situations imaginable - of course the camera performs well under those circumstances.
such a beautiful shot. Is there any way you can give me a quick breakdown on the lighting set-up? I am a college student and I have a short I have to make with outdoor nighttime scenes and I am having difficulty and what you created is exactly what I'm going for
Yeah, I'm making a short film based in Burton's Batman. The XDCAM cost about 6.700 € brand new. Its quality is very high level and the image is sharp and well saturated.
