@matco24 If you check out the Beatles playing Helter Skelter at about 2:02 you might just see what appears to be a Telecaster in George's hands.  Gibson SG's didn't really catch on in the Brit scene until the mid to late seventies, at least I don't remember seeing too many around before then.

I just don't recall seeing many of them around before about '74. This might have been due to the low-end SG100 and SG200 being introduced in 1971, American guitars always being expensive in the UK - but I'm boring myself now!
