  • that dash kit looks like ass

  • where did u get your double din dash kit?

  • Hey whats the dash kit u used?

  • i love audioslave shadow on the sun is awesome

  • Thanks for the reply on the 3.0... While I prefer Pioneer in general - I went with the Kenwood DNX-5120 and have been quite pleased with price, stability, instantaneous startup, integrated with Garmin Nav and Ipod control for both music and video in car. About $1200 invested $300 of which was my dash kit for a G35 (ouch) - and very pleased with the results.

  • does anyone know if it fits on a audi a6 1998 sedan please someone answer this question i don't want to waste 1,000 dollers for nothing

  • What are you talking about???? Do the hardwire hack and you can watch anytime. Its so easy!!

  • mine is a Premier AVIC-90BT. Basically the same equip. It was hacked by the installer and now it plays DVD s even without the hand brake pulled. He also installed the local maps for me (Brazil's). Don't know exactly how to do it but he told he had to upload a software on the headunit.

  • hey how did u get to control it from the steering wheel. I have the same exact unit and my wheel has the controls for volume, channel, etc., but ti only worked with my old car stereo, and I dont know how to make it work with the navi

  • Microphone comes with system I have a Avic 700 BT it'd sweet plug in a cable that i-pod plugs into and can watch movies etc or use the front Aux hole for second audio device or they can be hacked and have a windows screen to surf I like the blue tooth for phones ! way cool !

  • does it need a microphone for the voice control??

  • can this system play music of an iphone, cause i bought the pioneer cable CD-IU230V and it doesnt work, please help....

  • how do you people conect ipod to this where is the ipod and one more question is that whole a aux

  • Comment removed

  • it's an AV-connector where you can connect your camera to it. that way you can preview any images you've recorded.

and, like explained earlier, your ipod connects with a special cable that you need to buy seperatly.

you'll have to connect that cable to the USB-port located at the back (usually the people who install it, route it to your glovcompartment).

  • hey maby someone knows if there's a Video how to connetc Ipod to AVIC F900BT

  • normally the ipodconnector is in the glovcompartment.

you need a special connector provided by Pioneer, to connect your ipod to the AVIC F900.

reason is that, standard, it only connects via a USB-port and thus only a USB-stick, so you'll need to buy the connector seperatly.

  • wait so do the steering wheel controls for the stereo work with this system

  • depending on what car you have, it'll support it nativly or not.

you'll have to check that with Pioneer themselves

  • i heard this unit only supports 2GB of USB thumbdrive. is it true? can we use external hdd?

  • You've had it for a few months... I assume you have the 2.0 Firmware by now. Do you recommend this unit after owning if for some time? I'm debating using this unit as opposed to buying separate Garmin GPS and separate Ipod interface with a factory stereo on a G35...

  • @XDangerDaveX

Unit is still running great - 3.0 software upgrade has been a huge improvement. I've had 0 problems and this was one of the original F Series units sold with the very glitchy pre 2.0 software - so I've seen it evolve. Pioneer D,Z,F and X series are still the best units out there.

  • shit even with 2.0 firmware mine takes about 50 seconds to boot.... its annoying

  • How much did it all cost. im going to get mine installed at best buy for like 100$

  • hey i have a mercedes c230.

do your steering wheel controls work and your cd changer?????????

  • CD changer is gone - cannot be used. Steering wheel controls from pac audio

  • ohh can you get an aftermarket cd changer. and when you change tracks, those it show in the dash on the little screen???

  • Thanks!

With Bose there is no need to re-wire the entire car. I had this professionally installed by All Pro Audio in Santa Clara - guys are awesome. With Bose you will lose your amp (since it is fiber) - so your rear subs will drive directly from the Avic - all other speakers are fine - except the center dash speaker (which is very small) - you will lose it. The sound is way better now with the Avic.

  • they fixed the boot up time but it still takes about 30 secs or so, butt nice music broo

  • what year is the car? also, did you install this yourself?

  • does it have the 1.002000 update?

  • Slow boot up - major drawback - about 30 seconds - I have music - about a minute - I have more control - blue tooth takes anywhere from one minute to 5 minutes.

    It has the updates

I use the PAC Audio SWI-PS and SWI-CAN

    Thanks

  • Hi cno1995,

do you know if the PAC Audio SWI-PS and SWI-CAN will work for 2002 C320, I checked PAC site and dont' see any for 02 c class, also where did you buy your dask installation kit.

    Thanks

  • Yes they should work. Dash plate is a custom built one from All Pro Audio - they do it as part of the installation

  • which wiring did you use to hook up your steering wheel control to the F900?

  • yeah does this have the software updates?

  • How is the boot time in your unit? I read that it takes a minute plus to start up.
