You can buy the variety pack in the PlayStation store. I'm not exactly sure on the price but I believe it's $9.99. Some people got it for free as later versions of the game came with a code for a free download of the variety map pack. If you have a friend with it, you could ask them to log on to their account on your PS3 and download the map pack onto your system.
For the PS, you need to download these maps, and pay for them. It sucks, I know, but for PC users it was subsidized by NVidiA. I dont know what the cost is. Maybe 20 bucks?
I dunno if you can go back to ver 1.0 after the newest versions have been installed.
This may work though. Install two copies of COD on your computer. patch one version so you can play the maps... and leave the other version un-patched.
Thanks. I use Call of Duty Player. With that tool, I can watch the recordings I made in game. And use it to switch to 3rd person view, change camera angles,speed up/down, and pause. So you open console in game type in /record titlofmovie then enter. You will see a confirmation msg that says recording at bottom left corner. Turn on FRAPS or whatever you use to record, and have fun. to finish recording type /stoprecord. You need call of duty player to view the moives. utill you use fraps.
Also, you cant have call of duty 4 open when trying to open call of dyty player. Player need to open a version od cod4 to play the movie you recorded. So make sure you close cod4 befor you go to view movies in the player.
Also after Ive recorded with fraps, I take that file to Windows movie maker to add music/credits and reduce the file size to something managable for uploading to youtube.
