It would be hard to read at the same time as playing, I agree, though one could teach one's self: but it would be useful to have the original of FVB, not the C19th Dover, just to consult, in cases of real doubt. My keyboard tutor has shown me the lute entablature of Dowland's setting of 'Loth to Depart', which has been helpful in deciding what to play in Farnaby's setting of the same piece.
Best wishes - what a lot of enjoyment I have had in 2009 from your videos!
Interesting - I haven't heard that piece before - (actually, it is Vol 1, p.62 in the Dover edn). Quite a simple pavan, though with the usual difficulties of working out when to play f sharps and when not to. To my mind, much of the Dover edition errs towards a tonal rather than a mixed tonal/modal score. It is a geat pity that there is no readily-available facsimile of FVB - unless you know of one? Thanks.

I would second Peter. I have derived a lot of pleasure, too, in your many fine offerings in 2009. Many, many thanks.

Well Peter I did find a facsimile of the My Lady Nevell's. Perhaps there will be one of the Fitzwilliam too.
I will add the link in the info of this video, because I can't put it here.!

That is just amazing - thank you so much - one of the best links I have ever been sent!

Yes thanks, i will correct that error.
The Dover is based on an old edition, so it is not up to date of course. A facimile would be great, but I find it hard to read though.
