Linda Lewis was excellent. Similar to Minnie yes but please don't exaggerate about her being better.

I think both ladies are extremely talented. Whilst Minnie proved herself to be queen of the high notes as a soprano, Linda in my opinion is queen of the low notes. I am yet to hear another soprano singer with Linda low notes. So I guess that squares them off, but as you know most of us are into the highs, but thinking about it now, outside the whistle, Linda's high notes are very impressive.

That's because she's actually a Mezzo-Soprano. Given the right training she'd be a sensational Carmen, she's the right age, the right build and the right voice.

Luv Linda...Never got the credit she so richly deserved!! Eevryone comapres her to her to Minnie Ripperton, but Linda was ehad & shoulders above Minnie, I guess Linda being a Brit and not American may have in no small part been responsible for her not hitting the heights she should have reached??!!
