@n00bzilla111 It's lost several times. In series 2 to Inquisitor, series 3 to Aggrobot, series 4 to Pussycat. It won in Series 5. It lost in series 6 to Tornado in the final. I wouldn't say that Tornado cheated. If anything, they took advantage of the producers constantly farting around with the rules.

And there were several toys made. Pussycat, Stinger, Firestorm, Tornado, Chaos 2, Panic Attack, the House robots, and more.

@BulletDrummer tornado did cheat did you see the scaffolding around it? series 6 should have been all razer's and i think you forgot to mention it lost to pussycat twice, it was before series 4 because razer had a vengeance battle with pussycat in series 4 simply because it lost to pussycat 'unfairly'

@JonWorby then you are a total sado playing with your robot wars toys. also tornado didn't cheat tornado are the best and for a good reason too. they built the most versatile robot ever that you could mount different weapons onto it depending on what sort of opponent they were fighting. razor's crushing arm was probably the second greatest weapon of all time (hypno-discs flywheel is the best) and tornado created the perfect defense. its not called cheating, its called outsmarting your opponent.

hello, razor and hynodisk do NOT destroy robot wars, if anything, they win fair and square, they are superior in design to even some house bots, like aggro bot vs razor, and razor destroyed aggro bot and went on to attack other house bots. razor was just superior because it was well designed and thought out, and stood out for it, because it wasnt just another one of the flipper robots or just another circular saw weilding robot, although all are impressive engineering feats.

Thats why robots are to be built to be more superior than others. Tornado beat Razer once, and Hypno-Disc was pitted a few times. They are not totally unstoppable, they are like the top-seeds. So this encourages new roboteers to find new ways to beat them.

Some did, sure. I'm just saying it's something that contributed to people dropping out, or never entering in the first place. Also, Tornado only came back after significant revision, and Chaos 2 was never the same. If you look at Chaos 2's matches before its crippling loss to Razer and after, it seems like 2 different bots. He's much slower after that match.

I hate to say it, but I think Razer may have hurt Robot Wars, overall. Just like Hazard, a middleweight from Battlebots, Razer was too successful. Not only did they win a LOT, but unlike some other big winners (like Biohazard and Chaos 2) they utterly destroy their opponents. A lot of the bots they defeated were beyond repair and never came back, and this also keeps the small time guys from spending their money designing something that's just going to become scrap.

Watching a match with razer or hypnodisc was much more fun than a couple of wedges or flippers, or the rather pathetic axe weapons a lot of robots had which were virtually impossible to get on target, and even if they did hit, often didnt even scratch the shell.

This wouldn't be a problem if the show was paying for the repair of the robots, but they weren't. Imagine sinking $2000 into a robot, only to have it completely destroyed. Are you going to spend $2000 every year to make a new one? Probably not, and that kept a lot of the little guys from being competitive. As in Battlebots, it kept coming down to the same six or eight robots winning every year, and it got boring pretty quick.

Absolutely, the show is making good money being sold to television broadcasters and often syndicated all round the world. They should pay competitors for taking part, it is the competitors who make the show and they should be paid.

Whether they choose to keep this money, or plough it into making their robots better in future (after all, if it got destroyed it clearly wasn't a great design in the first place).
