You scared a little? :) I am using canon 550D with 100mm lens just for photo .But you know how is it huge and uncomfortable(I have to stop my operations on patients to record what I did :) and without how I did it :) . I am looking for light camera with high resolution and perfect auto focus.

@artpodzhigant hmmm perfect auto focus, high resolution, good low light abilities… i think you need to get your assistant to shoot the video while you are doing your operations. with your canon as that is an awesome camera.

Ok!You are professional and of course you know much more than I do.Probably I have choosen the wrong approach to discuss what I need.So,I am a dentist but also I like to do a lot of things bisides my work.For ex. Sailing , diving,climbing etc.How do you think,can I use go pro hero 2 in my work either.Can it HELP me to do video records of manipulations in mouth. You can see on YouTube a lot of videos with examples of necessary quality and maybe you can advice me smth else. Thank you!

@artpodzhigant OMG! just seen your video of that tooth thing! OMG! no this would not be great for in your dentist practice, it would be too dark and you cant control the exposure that it would get. better just keep taking those photos or use an slr for those types of photo/videos with a macro lens

I am getting this camera today, and the biggest concern I have is the fish eye settings. I have looked at test footage and software, and there are plugins to reduce this greatly, but I only have iMovie and have used up my trials of after effects. I plan on shooting comedy, shootouts, maybe some drama, just look at my channel. When you take off the water proof case, does that reduce it? And what is your opinion on the narrow setting?

@PSCenturyFilms i movie is total crap for editing your video, it destroys so much of the quality and it cant do full hd either, use screenflow thats what i use and it kicks ass big time, also what do you mean when you take off the water proof case does that reduce it? reduce what?

The GoPro does not ship with Memory, sometimes memory is offered as a promotion from some vendors such as 'Humble Outdoors'. I get about 2 hours of video from a 16GB mem card

They store everything on SD-card.

So if you get yourself a big SD-card,

you end up with big memory. ;b

What amazes me is that everything is in really sharp focus! And the auto exposure is smooth.

@vcbabis its a tiny sensor with a tiny lens, pretty much everything will be in focus as everything is at the hyper focal distance, only when something gets super close, like the evil squirrel does it get a little blurry.

If you go to 960p or lower the field of view is narrower and less fish-eyed if you don't like that look. These do stop motion videos nicely also as they have a built in intervalometer.

You should have your editing software not maintain the audio pitch when slowing down the footage, else it sounds like crap. Of course that if you want to maintain audio pitch you need a little better software to do the downsampling (better algorithm) as this one is complete rubish.
