  • you have to be patient and i have the so called good hair too so i know how you feel i have been on the journey for almost 11 months and my hair is not locked yet

  • yo my jointz look tha same way.. feel like i gotta retwist errday.. got mine done about a week ago.. but stay wit it

  • good luck on ya dreadlock journey son....peace!

  • the rubberbands keep the locs from unraveling at the root. Also, if you're not already, make sure you're sleeping with a du-rag so that your hair doesn't get messed at night. Yea, and remember patience is the name of the game when growin locs. Just stick in their, man. Peace.

  • Well, first of all, hair doesn't lock up in a week to begin with. If anything, it wants to uncoil. DO NOT twist every night. That's kind of a no-no for locs. But, I actually started my locs Jan. 3, so I'm in a similar noob boat as you. But, I have a couple suggestions.I actually had a loctician start my locs, and I have been maintaining them since. Much easier and practical. Also, I can still see my parts from Jan. 3 because I keep tiny rubber bands at the base of my locs.

  • i use jamaican mango and lime resistant formula locking gel

  • what do you use to twist your hair? if you keep touching it everyday its not gonna lock up as fast as it should

  • mango and lime and the black bees wax my hair seems to hold better with the bees wax so i use mango and lime gel black top and black bees wax together
