  • I can't stand having a thumb on a machine when all I'm doing is digging dirt, I used a progressive thumb once or twice years ago in Cowgary and found that it made the machine to "front" heavy and more of a maintenance burden. I much rather have a sorting grab like what's used in Europe or a Krypto Claw setup so it's all detachable when I'm done doing demo or done clearing bush etc.

  • Nice hoe, the dealer in Quesnel BC has a bunch of 210 Kobelcos. Thats all you need for a setup there. Id prefer a tilt bucket and Progressive link thumb with a straight edge welded/bolted temporarily across the tines for mud cleanup, but thats getting pretty fancy with circuits and shuttle valves and Handles.

You guys out there run hi-lift gates on your gravel trucks? Seems soon as you get to interior BC-East they are a luxury. Sure handy though. Out west its all hi-lifts.

  • They told me it's a 2006 model, the new model doesn't look much different slightly different cab and 2 foot longer stick.

  • how old is the kobelco?

  • Gotta love that wrist bucket for cleaning ditches.I've been doing the same job this week but with a standard cleanup bucket...way more repositioning required and much slower.
