The game (RE4) was created as an gamecube exclusive. Shinji Mikami (The Creator) was also responsible for bringing all main RE games on the GC, including RE3. This is the real fact.

Young kids are playing video game's these day's more than ever! and the original survival horror were meant for more of a teen/mature audience...as there are alot of puzzles and in depth gameplay rather than just being on a team and shooting zombies which from my 20 minutes I played RE 5 It seemed like that!kids dont want to solve puzzles they wanna blow sh** up!lol

I like RE ORC because it makes you look at racoon city from a more realistic view, it's not 1 person in the city just escaping and doing fuckall, there was actually police involved and stuff like that which gives it the more "true story" element.

It's like Capcom is trying to capitalise on a game genre they have no business being in. It could be compared to combining Silent Hill with Call of Duty and the result would be Resident Evil 5. They need to go back to the drawing board.

@SerbianJudo Exactly. They don't have that atmosphere that makes it creepy. They are just "shooter" games now. But atleast the Silent Hill franchise is still pretty decent in terms of horror. Silent Hill: Homecoming was stretching it a bit far. I hope Resident Evil 6 will have the survival-horror element again. If not, they can just find themselves another customer, because I won't buy their games anymore.

Alice has absolutely nothing to do with the video game series. They fucked up Silent Hill when they made that into a movie as well. i think all the games are great, i think people saying they're not is a completely fair thing to say, they have changed a fair bit, and resi 4 was a massive jump in the survival horror genre. i think in making the games the way in the way they have makes complete sense, in order to stay relevant you have to change, to appeal to the younger generation of gamers, you can't please all the people all the time. remember that.

Personally I think RE1-3 will always remain to be holy in the RE series... 4 was alright.. enjoyable.. playable.. etc. RE5 was boring cause it was RE4 all over again... Minus the co-op play. Nintendo did do an amazing job in revamping Resident Evil 1... I only wish they did it for RE2 and RE3.. They spent time making Resident Evil 0 they might as well have spent time remaking 2 and 3 as well since they played a huge part of the series and were just as amazing

RE 3: Nemesis is the best game of RE series. Seriously, I hate when people says that RE 4 or 5 is much better than 3: Nemesis. The creppy atmosphere, the Nemesis' battles, the soundtrack... all in RE 3: Nemesis it's simple, but epic in such a complex way. A real classic of the survival horror games, together with Silent Hill 1 and 2 and Fatal Frame series.

And when I met Nemesis for the first time he told me this is like Mr. X on steroids. fucking scared me shitless for a week until I started to escape him more and fight back and trap him occasionally when the game allowed you to do so... @Summon256 I thought RE:CV was cheesy in a sense that they tried to incorporate a romantic/comedy element with Claire and Steve, which didn't really fit into the whole survival horror element in the game. At least you just wouldn't expect it especially since the 3 games before it were so much more serious. But I thought RE2 and RE3 were equally as good and were better than RE1. But REmake was good, it was survival horror, but it didn't feel as "real" as RE2 or RE3 did, if you know what I'm sayin
