  • first i thought: "isn't it of order 4x4x4?

    i would concider the skewb a 2x2

    the master a 3x3x3.

this one has 2 layers in between the tips so 4x4x4.

Than again you designed it with"

But than I remember when I compare to the tetrahedron and think about let's say the vcube mechs it makes sense.elite tetrahedron has 3 layers to turn. It's just that there are no faces oposite to each other. Thus thinking the above is the wrong direction.

    RIGHT?

  • my name is skewb. ELITE skewb.

  • Comment removed

  • why would you brag about how much your art sold for? as a fellow craftsman, i have to say that's pretty tacky, imo. beautiful stuff though.

  • its cubs evil brother

  • OMFG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Your really making me want to make my own puzzles ;)

  • you are like the second tony fisher :D

  • is it possible to make it so that its not a pillowed structure?

  • Drewseph0011:

did you make this awesome cube??

or this idea is from other person?

  • The awesome Drewseph made this awesome cube ;)

  • come on! we want this produced! such an awesome puzzle

  • more people need to make these things, so that there is more competition and more of the really awesome stuff reaches the market.

i mean, if you got the parts printed by another company, you could instantly start selling kits. or are you getting patents, and thats why it takes so long?

  • wow a 4x4x4 skewb! SHWEET!

you should try and make a 3x3x3 one!

  • It's equivalant to a 7x7 not 4x4.

  • oh duh LOL wtf was i thinking??

  • Haha.

  • it's a 7x7 skewb and a 3x3 skewb is the standard skewb

  • yeah. wow thatd be sweet if some1 made an even skewb tho...lol but how would that even work?

idk but i STRONGLY commend anyone who makes one.

  • it would be a mister dino cube

  • ohhhh right right.

  • it's actually a 7x7x7 skewb. and yesz someone made a 5x5 skewb

  • drew made the master skewb already kryp7on1t3. this isnt a 4x4, its technically a 7x7 the way it is designed and built. a 4x4 would not have a big edge in the middle like that if it was 4x4 :o

  • lol ive been told

  • it's not called a professor skewb because it is custom made and rubik's didn't make it

  • Why isn't it called the Professor Skewb?

  • @Jorbs3210 because it isnt a 5x5 skewb

  • can i buy these and so were?

  • A MUCH better upgrade from the master.

  • omg that thing is SMOOTH 0_0 no clicks

  • wow,you sold it for 1,000$ ? wow, impressive,i envy the guy who bought it.

  • another time consuming but solvable puzzle and also another expensive from none other than drewseph

  • Was there a topic on twistypuzzles about this? Somehow I don't remember ever seeing this puzzle before...

  • hey drew, is this going to be on bedardpuzzles? and btw what happened to the tetrahedrons? :(

  • I have not decided. it takes a lot of work to make a single sample though

  • i can imagine it would. such a complex puzzle must probably take a lot of time to cast, smooth, paint, sticker, ect. :) i like the purple stickers on it. it makes it look nice! and i like how it is somewhat pillowed, but i can imagine that was done sort of for the reason like the v-cube 7 =p

  • @Drewseph0011 you should deffinatly list it on bedard. And just price it fair after your wished

  • So you only had the master pieces 3D printed?

  • Amazing!

  • grats on the sell drew! :)

  • ok so u sold for 1,000$ but how much did it cost u to make it like the 3d printing and the molding?

  • congrats on the huge sale of this great puzzle.

  • Drew has announced on twistypuzzles that he will be selling this on ebay starting April 16

  • pillowing makes all puzzles better :)

  • i have a pillowed 0x0, and i want a pillowed 2x2

  • now it's time for a Royal Skewb! :)

  • lol he's probably already designing it :P

  • i was really hoping to hear a

    "click click click"

  • just curious, why do you want something to hinder moment?

  • its a skewb

  • it looks kinda like a 5x5 fisher cube

  • ...now all you have to do is make a Royal Skewb haha

  • Excellent. Avid mind at work right there :)

  • was the pillowing a design choice or is it required by the mechanism ?

  • it was needed, see the description of the video for the reason

  • Wow. The only type of cube that I can mod is an Octagonal barrel. And I use silicone sealant to fill it...Where do you get the resins/fillers for your mods?

  • this is not a mod firstly. second I don't use filler. this is Alumilite Black

  • Where do you buy/get it?

  • You can't really buy or get it. It's not a mod, but it did involve building it. What he did is he designed the puzzle on the computer, and then had the parts printed on a 3D printer. He then duplicated these parts by molding and casting techniques to make the puzzle.

Whilst it's not a mod (it's not a modification of anything) you can't just buy it somewhere. It's a completely custom puzzle.

    Nice work by the way!

  • he designed the parts on a cad progrram, and then had them printed and then casted them himself.

  • I love the purple side.

  • Fantastic.

  • drew thats awesome!

  • Are you going to give the Praxis Cube with the Elite Skewb version a try.

    Sorry if I spoilt anything.

  • normally I would, but it doesn't do much to make it look interesting

  • Wow this is a whole new mechanism, even hard to think of. Great job again!

  • But can it make toast?

  • I tried last night. I ended up getting butter and bread crumbs jammed inside though

  • Since when do you put the bread in the toaster with the butter already on it?

  • random xD?

  • and now the royal skewb! lol

  • Just no words for it

  • Oh wow!!! Very nice!! Was this a full print or did you cast some pieces?

  • without a doubt the most amazing puzzle you've built to date. the elite skewb is a combination or visually appealing cuts, perfect pillowing, solving difficulty, mechanical complexity, and turns flawlessly to boot!

  • tite!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool!
