PETA sucks. They are too ignorant to know that the animal is usually euthanized before peeling the fur because if the animal is alive and struggles, the fur would come out badly, split and torn, so no one would want to purchase it.

It is fine with me if you are an animal lover (who loves his/her pet and supports PETA even if they want to take them away from you so they can be free), but do your homework first.

People supporting fur with PETA are just showing off their ignorance.

I think there is a difference between fur and leather. When you kill a fox for fur, the rest is just waisted. Cows and pigs are killed for their meat and yes, not everyone needs meat and we eat to much of it, but it is necessary (for some of us). So why not use the skin too? But killing an animal JUST for it's skin, that's bullshit. We don't need fur, we have our normal clothing to keep us warm and covered.

I think you misunderstood. I don't kill minks or any other animals for fur but I am not really against it and I don't like extreme animal rights organizations.

Fur rocks... Seriously. I don´t wear fur myself but I do kill minks for mink furs. Furs are warm, comfortable and luxorious and that´s why many people still buy them. But I myself simply enjoy the act of killing minks for fur production. Nah... I don´t kill minks but I do hate animal rights activists. Or at least like extreme activists like ALF or Peta... The majority of fur comes from China. China has no animal rights laws and skin the animals alive. The main animals they use, for economic purposes, are dog and cat. And although we assume the West outlawed dog and cat fur, the grim reality is: all fur garments under $150 need not be identified as authentic and are thus labeled "faux fur". 90% of U.S. fux fur is actually dog and cat, imported by China. Guess the beloved puppy and kitty isn't above speciesism, when money is involved.

Fuck Peta! I won't get into animal-rights issues, but that skinny English bitch, who has no qualifications to be making points on anything, should have her coon electrocuted and be skinned alive herself. PETA has made *no* progress for animal rights, nor does it intend to. It's a huge scam that has successfully marketed a feeling and caused more animal-deaths than any of the animal-shelters it so ardently criticizes. Her ugly face really doesn't sell this doc for me.

I agree that killing animals for their fur is disgusting and shameful...but what about leather shoes? How many of us bash fur while we are wearing leather shoes or boots or carrying a leather handbag? I struggle with this dilemma myself... :(

I guess you could say, "but it was only imitation-leather;" well, even if no animal died to make it, the very act of imitating it still implicates her ethically in the skin-trade. But unlike the ugly Peta-bitch, at least she's a babe...

I can't wait to see the movie! Fur is the most disgusting thing I can imagine. We also shouldn't wear faux fur. It encourages the fur look as fashion. Same with animal prints. Same with other animal skins such as lizard, snake, sting ray and leather.
