Although, i can tell you based on the rather unimpressive acceleration of the MKZ, ALOT of that power is gettin lost somewhere in the drivetrain. This 265hp MKZ is virtually NO FASTER than the 221hp Zephyr

I'm fairly impressed. And i own a tweeked 09 CTS-v though its no where near the 3.85 time i can post...with concentration on first gear modulation...

the V will smoke 1-2 and part 0f 3 especially in automatic.

Im glad they finally got the tranny geared right.. hits 60 right before it shifts to 3rd, the old LS had the lag time of 3rd gear before it hit 60!

the 08 has the 3.5 V6 right i got the 09 and i got it i was just wondering what year they switched from the 3.0 to the 3.5

Sounds good, first gear is really short which makes for great off the line pickup!

you should see my front wheel drive it doesnt acclerate through first it jut goes to 6500 and then kicks in its wild and the liclon ls v8 are slower but only slighty

Yeah the Zephyrs and MKZs are pretty great, seem ALOT better than the shitty LS's. Also hav great pickup. 0-60 in 7 sec isnt bad for stock. And yeah i heard the the AWD version can easily top 140 if it wasnt for the governor. Its disappointing when you pay 800 bucks for a set of Z rated Pirelli tires and cant even get over 130. my e320 Mercedes has a governor at 132 mph and i no how u feel

Its a lot better than my Cherokee. The MKX is a nice car, its just like the MKZ but a crossover.

oh well i live in canada and we have the fwd drive version and it doesnt have a limiter and i have gotten it to go around 244 km/h or in mph around 150

The car and do it but this damn limiter sucks the fun out of everything. I'm just waiting on a tune to come out so I can take off the limiter and really use my V-rated tires

i no just ask around some shops have uners where they can look into the computer but i live in canada so it has no limiter im lucky

Great sound. Fairly quick acceleration. I have an '07 FWD version. I wonder how much, if any, lag the AWD creates.

I do feel a little drag on the car off the line and turning. Does your car take off slow off the line?

No, not at all. You have to baby the throttle a good bit or you end up with a boatload of torque steer and tire squeal.
