I am not disagreeing with you that a lot of other DJs are transitioning to this style of mainstream music. How in the world did Guetta become #1 DJ on DJMag without doing epic weekly sets? That guy can't pull an 8 hour concert by himself. He isn't a good DJ, just a good music producer.

I see that even you agree that the EDM scene is changing. It is true, but that doesn't make this music better. The more mainstream it gets, the worse it gets imho.

The difference between most house music in clubs and progressive house/trance music is most people who listen to house music are doing it while smashed on alcohol, while trance is better when you are sober and not plastered out of your mind!

That's why house music is taking over. Just my opinion. I can't imagine people going to be listening to euphoric trance sober at a club haha.

Ya ya ya, Tiesto sold out by abandoning has hardcore fans and going mainstream by teaming up with 'popular American artists". Big fucken deal. After in Search of Sunrise 7, all his crap is downhill. If you prefer his current music over his older music, that's good for you. But for people who loved Tiesto for 5-6 years in the underground scene, his current stuff is garbage. I guess it's too hard to compete with the best ah? Armin van Buuren and Above and Beyond blew him out of the water.

@BestJinjo Thank u for this comment,I've felt like this for years and the only thing I learnt to do about it is just stay away..Can't even put AnB and even Armin and him in the same sentence!Tiesto and Kaskade both did the same gig the last couple of years-you can def call it selling out,but i call it prostitution!
