If I could take 3 bowlers, I'd consider Malcolm Marshall, Glenn McGrath and Wasim Akram (maybe Lillee or Hadlee). If Glenn bowled like he did later in his career from the start of it though, he would be undisputedly the greatest, but as it stands, I think Malcolm Marshall's record is comparable.

McGrath had a perfect career though and destroyed all batsmen on all wickets.

Do you have any information to back this up - I had heard that Glen McGrath was rather a shy and modest man. He was certainly an amazing bowler, especially since he achieved such success - both wickets and containment - without having that much speed. This is a hat trick against world class batsmen too, not tail enders. And he was consistent too - he couldn't have bribed the opposition in every match he played.
