  • When I become a certified architect in the near future, currently a Grad student in school, I promise to design buildings with expression that break the norm and invent inspiring structures that are art itself.

  • Silverstein and Child both are looking to design a regular building that they can get the most money out of with the least amount of cost to build. They don't understand that the building is supposed to be artistic and represent the tragedy that occurred on 9/11. Child's design, my opinion, is terrible since it is traditional and not anything new, has expression, and representative to the tragedy. Developers are always looking to make more money. It is a shame.

  • Daniel Libeskind Design was great but due to people who do not appreciate architecture that is supposed to symbolize an historical event and represent strength, Libeskind's design never made it. It was because of developer Larry Silverstein, who is trying to profit over the new building, appointed his favorite architect David Child from SOM to design the build and not compromising with Daniel Libeskind.

  • i like the original design, but perhaps its too expensive.

anyone know what is daniel libeskind's stance on the situation in Israel? I used to have full respect for Jews but a lot of them are being real Nazis right now.
