With my little knowledge of conflict in SL, I'd assume the Indians were fed up with LTTE essentially after the assassination of their PM. For LTTE sympathizers, armed resistance is always branded as terrorism and this case is not different. The war crimes committed by SL Army are deplorable and the US, UK & India must pressurize SL to accommodate the minorities.

Government allowed to bring Heavy machinery to LTTE areas for the sake of civilians. But those orgs rent those equipment to LTTE. When they were asked to leave the LTTE area these organizations didn't bring the 10% of the heavy equipment they brought.

I had been in SL for 3 years (working as a survey officer in automobile industry in south Asia) and I know about SL. They never had a defense minister with that name. LoL channel 4.....
