I am currently working on another solar project a this time and probably won't have the portable Solar Skillet ready before spring. I also have a design for a solar oven that will be coming this spring.

I guess you tried various pans maby? I think a thick pan takes longer to heat up, however once it does it retains more heat energy (like a flywheel retains energy) and can release it. Good for occasional cloud cover when cooking maby.
Hey, thanks for the positive comment! It is a very good way to cook and really works well. You have to keep a close watch on the food while cooking because it WILL burn the food! I have used it many many times since I made it. No charcoal, no electricity, no LP gas! Just Sunlight!
Thanks for the comment. Yes it is a series of 12 mirrors and a parobolic curve. Materials cost about $150. I sell illustrated plans for $18(includes shipping).
Are you working on a compact version for campers, pack up and go type?

That is the best solar powered cooking method I ever seen. Plus you dont even have to stand in the way of the sun when cooking.

I guess a lid on the pan would help with the hot air/steam side of the cooking.
