@FreespiritTheUmbreon well thats on a good day most of the time it will either fluctuate from 50 to 500ms for no reason and we are paying 45 dollars a month for this.
Also, you're paying too much: our package is $50/mo. And things should improve drastically, now that CenturyLink has bought them out...they just finished laying the fiber optic cable on our street this past week.
The modem/routers that Qwest supplies are garbage. Go over to Best Buy and pick yourself up a name brand modem/router, set it up yourself or take it to your ISP, and have them set it. 99% of the problems we had with Qwest came from that stinking piece of garbage modem/router they sold us. Since we upgraded to a name-brand unit, our service from them has been consistently good for over six months, now - with the bottom-end DSL we average 130mbps down/70 up. Not too bad.
I highly recommend Comcast Business Internet. It's like 99 bucks but the uptime is nearly 100% plus they have a DUAL buffer protection so if one modem fails the next takes over until the other reboots so the chances for disc is nearly 0% and they treat you like KINGS too when there is issues they fix right away or credit you right away. Amazingly though their residential SUCKS. Their residential interent disc alot, slow sometimes! My speed is like 50/10 on their 22/5 package. It's awesome.
I have Qwest and it is terrible. The internet doesnt work whatsoever in the mornings until 6 P.M. And even when I think its starting to work it has the lag spikes and disconnects me from xbox LIVE at completely random times.. I wish we couldve looked into this further before signing a 2 yr contact with gay ass Qwest. =/

Even when we called Support, they couldn't solve the problem and had to make us pay another $40 for another modem/router. That plus an extra fee for just calling support.
@joe91291 I dont think its economic issues. if you like there facebook page they are always and I mean always posting about them giving gobs of money away just gobs of it. 175,000 to this another day 12,000 dollars to that ect ect its pissing me off. they need to use that to fix there bad lines!
If you live in Idaho, go with Cable One. I never lagged when I had it, and I always had 40-45 Mbps. I can't even play video games anymore with Qwest.

haha my centurylink is 1.5 mbps subscription and i only get about .35 mbps with a 500ms+ ping. Cant do a damn thing with it.

mine sucks worse than this i get like 3 mbp download and 1 upload and my ping goes from 30 to 50

@HayfenHD : I don't see how having a ping of 30 go to 50 is bad. I get a ping of +180 on servers within 50ms away.

I love how I can't even stream youtube videos without the occasional buffer. My speed is more than enough to stream even 360p.
