Actually, I like to use soft jerkboats when using conventional tackle. It works in the water much the same. I had a bag of colored rubber bands, and thought, "what the heck." I was joking with a friend that it looks like a piece of Fishbites tied on the hook... Go figure. I saw reference to others also tying them on the web, but I had already been tying them for a while.
is that an eagle claw aberdeen hook?

this might be a good fly simple as it is but i just don't see how it would catch anything worth your time. maybe small bream would take it.
