the battle combat is very fast but it also depends on the atks you use. the atk she was using at the first battle was a stronger atk that takes more stamina(yellow bar) so it takes longer to atk. not all stronger atks are like that mind you it all depends on the strength of it as well as which class ur using of course. just as well the frame rate was fine for me no problems at all fast and fluid.

I've never played WoW, and think jump is helpful in any MMO to get past traps, holes, cracks, ledges, platforms, exc. Just about every MMO I've played has it (I've played / tested a lot of them). In FFXI there are rocky hills i wish i could have just leap down, but instead i have to go back and forth down terrain ramps. It's frustrating and time consuming. Not at all a challenge. I see your point in trying to be true to the franchise. They could do better if that is their goal though.

This guy has pretty decent specs and hes only at 14 fps? wtf is that they need to do something about that im sure the majority of players only have probably mid range pcs and wont be able to run this shit

This game realy needs work on graphics. I can play many high quality graphic games on my computer, even better then ff xiv but this game is horrible even with low quality. There is no option to turn off in game effects. You can only turn off effect on cutscenes but still frame rate sucs

Needs more action RPG elements in general. The battle system is improved from earlier, but it's still problematic. Which is ironic because I hear some people from the Chrono and Kingdom Hearts team have been involved in this game. ...And they knew how to do action to RPG balances.

Imagine how great it would be if XIV had the kind of jumping system built in that 13 has. I see this as a major issue, because in one of the videos I saw a dodo running up and down ledges freely while players struggled to position themselves to attack since they were unable to navigate the ledges. This is what pissed people off so bad in FFXI and I can't believe the devs want to let this problem remain, even if it is as difficult to implement as they say.
You, sir, are a genius for actually using a gamepad. I swear every video I have seen so far shows clumsy control with the mouse/keyboard combo and it drives me insane. Thanks for posting!

in phase 3. they made the combat much fast. but i havent played phase 3. i stopped playing beta when phase 3 came out. all toons were deleted.

Hmm, quick question in regards to the 14FPS: Was the 14FPS while recording, or during normal gameplay? I'm assuming its at 1280x720...
Reason I ask is because I plan to play 1920x1200 on the same proc, 2.4ghz, 8gb ram, 9800GTX 512mb, just need to know how it'll handle it.
