It says in the Constitution that you need an authorization from Congress to go to war. This has yet to happen yet like the man said we have been at war for 5 years now. So would the media's coverage have really changed things? Probably not. If anything, I think the current circumstances have started opening people's eyes to what's really going on and showing them that you can't trust the media to spoonfeed you the truth.

In all fairness... how do they have the ability to pay for their broadcasts? They have to sell ad time. It is a business, because the news people don't get paid by the government, which would be horrible.

How would Americans like to hear that the war in Iraq was to send a message to all Arab nations that the US is no longer ignoring their support of terrorism, and to control the price of oil(Iraq was selling oil on black market which kept prices low in region,
Syria,Turkey,etc.)so that American oil companies don't get overtaken by foreign competitors. Russia and China were trying to work out an oil deal with Saddam.
