This is so unfair! I always get this feeling in my heart when I see all this and space, I wanna know I wanna explore, I wanna see so much yet im in the beginning and under my life time I won't know much at all, It sucks, I wish to explore the vast space, I wanna know more about all off this, theres so much I want and I feel dissappointment in my heart... :( It sucks
we will never get out of earth, the big gap is there for a reason, we are not meant to be in other worlds, we probably have acheived the most out of space travel were gonnna get, it all comes down to fuel, atomsphere, food, water and time, these things are a must while travelling through space and we are far from it
@Robertdub2006 The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents. We live on a placid island of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not meant that we should voyage far. - H.P. Lovecraft.
@raphaeltrumpetsound, Thats it, man will never accept what hes got and always want more, but there is loads out there we will never ever know, its a dangle of a carrot for a lifetime, we are stuck in the black seas of infinity and everything we want is here on earth for some strange reason
@randomaneproductions Reaching speeds near that of light is already possible. All you have to do is make a space craft that acts like a charged particle and then drop it into Jupiters magnetic field. It will start to circle the magnetic field going faster and faster and faster until it reaches about 99% of light speed. Then you simply turn off the charge and watch that ship fly off into the galaxy
@TheMalici11 You might want to give yourself about 1000 years just to be on the safe side. Also, make sure you put in things like emergency food and water because its entirely possible that when you wake up, there wont be anything left of the human race except for old ruins
it sounds stupid to most but when you try to take it all in putting it simple terms earth is like a spec of sugar amongst millions n millions of other specs mind boggling stuff ... it all must go on for ever n ever with no end no begining with other plaents just starting life n others dead for millions of years so putting it simple cavemen could be on other planets n far far miles ahead beings on other planets giving us on earth wot we are supposed to see on the sky now thats if its all true ehh
No fens but god (the lord) creator of our world, but, do you think that he made all those planets for nothing? Think about it , then tell me. There has to be a glitch some were, well find it, it only depends on time.
@LuayzWorld .... Yes,those billions upon billions of planets out there were definintely made for a reason! You won't hear this taught in the so-called traditional religions of the world, but I believe mankind was created to not only someday populate but actually teraform and seed LIFE on those billions and trillions of worlds. That's our destiny!!...Not this nonsense of going to "heaven" to play harp music for all eternity or burn forever in someone's idea of "hell".
I kindly invite you to explain publicly why in 2004 you have hidden to the Judiciary District of Ragusa, managed by commissioner Doctor Agostino Fera, the bank account 10/645629 owned by Mrs Campo Innocenza Maria and why you have never answered to the exposals of denunciation dated 30th December 2009 and instead you have let us wait so many years without answering and let Mrs Innocenza Maria die in the pain that someone has when deprived of all her money
If the planet was conscience it would be thinking....oh shit ! I've been discovered by those pest called humans and they will now one day destroy my nature, cause noise pollution, and crime. Poor planet.
@steelflame1 Luckily it is just another ball of rock. Its not like there is for all practical purposes a unlimited number of these things or anything.
@steelflame1 if nature didn't want us here it would just make a huge earthquake or volcanoe eruption or hurricane not sit here and do nothing, when people say "save the planet it's really save ourselves since after the ozone layer is gone the planet will still be here just we won't
and ppl think we are the only ones living ppl are fucking stuipd who dont think outside the box!!! fucking think about it??? if we r living? why cant others have living things?
No doubt there are people at this moment printing deeds for land sales on these planets. Something we can leave to our great great great great grandkids to assure their future on a planet with breathable air. .
Wow we haven't even been to the planet yet and we've already fucked it up by naming it Kepler. All we need to do is just fucking leave it alone AND NOT FUCKING TOUCH IT AT ALL. SINCE HUMANS NEVER SEEM TO HAVE ANY GOD DAMN SENSE AT ALL WE'LL JUST FUCK THAT UP LIKE WE DID THIS PLANET. At least give it a chance to try and survive before you go out and kill it with your wars and natural love of arrogance and ignorance.
It's like..... a zillion miles away and we haven't even been past our moon. Plus, at this point, it's like a 50-50 chance that 22b is more like Neptune than Earth.
@TheChickenRiceBowl Relax it's 600 lightyears away, there is no way we can reach it in the near future. And weve named it kepler 22b, yes but maybe our planet is named after some famous scientist in the history of the aliens on Kepler 22b :p
"Planet is just like Earth" .... "Don't know if it has a rocky, gaseous or liquid composition", LMAO u clueless fuckers, in that case Mars and Venus are also "just like Earth", these scientists seriously need a fist shoving up their arses. FUCK OFF
Anyways. This is the begining of a journey that will take hundreds of years. And a spaceship where we will teach our newborn how to operate the ship so when the time comes to for the elderly to pass. The young can take over to operate the ship and contiue this process. Until we reach our destination which is lightyears away.
@TheFunnysamnoob333 an "earth" the size of Jupiter would have such massive gravity that we would be crushed ... Assuming it had a habitable environment...
Sadly, Kepler is now saying that there are no habitable planets discovered, these must of been declassified. I personally think the way we're finding "habitable" planets is a joke, There are so many variables opposed to these methods, that just concluding on these results alone is probably not reliable.

@uturniaphobic we have learned how to use light as communication (fibre optics) a few more years we'll be able to travel at the speed of light. next thing you know! we'll be travelling as fast as tachyons (theoretically, fastest particle known)
@TheKeyb0ard94 not sure if traveling at light speed is possible. I hear it takes more energy than the universe has to offer to even get one hydrogen atom to move at that speed which sucks.
@uturniaphobic that does suck, but I had this idea in my head for quite some time, since organic beings like us might not survive going at light speed, we should make a device that kind of shoots something some kind of "portal" to where we want to go, then when X many years passes, we should open one here and go through, we wouldn't face the problem of collision, or stretching when going light speed, which would possible kill humans. Just a thought though, I'm probably wrong.
@Halflifefan54 nothing moves like light. it's more like a conductance on the EM spectrum than "traveling" it is how fast the electromagnetic spectrum can conduct the light over distance. like electricity over a wire. if we could convert ourselves or whatever to plasma we could travel that road then convert back.
this really make me smile , knowing that there is a wide variety of possible places to find life other than the Earth reminds of my strong attachment to science fiction and science.to think that we could be one voice out of hundreds maybe even thousands of others in the cosmic fugue . we cannot be alone. theres just too much space for it to be just dust and echoes
@mrconradhoppe Yeah, right, It was really part of the spare cash I dropped there when I went to buy a cola, Do you really believe everything you hear? I can't believe you haven't strapped yourself to a bomb and exploded into a bus yelling DEATH TO AMERICA!
@mrconradhoppe Well, designing and building a 110m tall rocket can be that expensive. And for the "Mega-Laser", a KiloWatt class laser is very common within scientists. About repeating it, well, the Mission Apollo 17 suggests 17 launches, six of them aimed at landing it the moon's surface (missions 6 and 13 went wrong, and there was a fire in the Apollo 1 mission's Saturn V rocket), and they retrieved 9 kilograms of moon rocks each time they landed.
@mrconradhoppe You can take a high powered kilo to megaWatt class laser and point it at the reflectors that were left in its surface, wait 16 seconds and receive the reflection. That's the only thing proving we were there. And why we haven't returned? Well, the F-1 Rocket engines were really expensive to operate.

the fastest spacecraft ever built is = 518400000 km/y
light-year in km = 9.46x10^12 km
( 9.46x10^12 )km / 518400000 km/y = 18248.45 years
