  • also in the tv show Escape Into Night (paper house ) the stones had eyes and moved ,where paper house does not , i like the two versions .never read the book

  • @foribelive The series is a pretty accurate adaptation of the book which itself is pretty spooky reading.

  • Paperhouse is a 1988 British dark fantasy film directed by Bernard Rose. It was based on the novel Marianne Dreams by Catherine Storr.

Marianne Dreams has been the basis of several film, TV and radio adaptations, including the 1972 British ITV children's TV series Escape Into Night (which was quite faithful to the novel) this tv show scared the hell out of me when i was little .

  • Craggy Island?

  • hey, poison, do you think this is where TFA got the inspiration for cocavo-convex?

  • I like this movie very much, but I cant understand the actors' utterances...I need the subtitles most of the time..Are they speaking in standard English or any other variation of the lenguage? Thanks (i'm not English speaking)

  • Elliot Spiers was for me the best actor when I saw "Paperhouse".

    R.I.P.

  • this was a great film . a scary story film

not scary in monsters but in the way the film was filmed and the good story

would make a good remake film if done right

  • forgot to say it was the ending that made the film and the farther .scary .

also reminds me of the series children of the stones

  • thank you for this video
