  • jenson had new tires and was full of fuel...so you have to have a bit of f1 understanding

  • Back when overtaking didn't have DRS.

  • I want Toyota back in F1 :__;

  • Button break late. He is the inside. come on jenson thats a basic defense right there break early turn late he cant overtake on the outside theres a chichane ahead.

  • ^^^ who ever posts this comment is retarded ^^

  • Jenson had more weight from fuel, and colder tyres

  • @mr1slow and a better car. Not a very good argument.

  • @cutti4 not to mention more experience

  • @mr1slow Kobayashi had worn tyres and worse car, and 1 race experience.

  • @InospeakAussie he had new tires which were not at the optimum temp, plus far more fuel.

  • Go Kobayashi-san!!

  • go kamui u the mannnnnnnnnnn

  • Who did he replace/cover for at Toyota?

  • @blainyrules he replaced timo glock after he gashed his leg and had minor damage to his spine during qualifying in suzuka. Some people thought a japanese driver in a toyota is a commercial thing (probably was) and never had a future in f1. But he proved himself in the first race and in the 2010 season, i would love to see sauber succeed and get kamui up the front. But i think he would look awsome with lewis in a mclaren

  • @blainyrules Covered Timo Glock after injury in suzuka.

  • Jenson owned once more

  • Braked too late and outsmarted by Kobayashi

  • We need a nick name for our fev japanise driver

  • kobayashi is really awesome :D

  • Toyota were stupid to pull out of F1. They finally got a driver to represent the company and country who is competitive and get a lot out of the car and then they quit. Their loss and Saubers gain. If Kamui keeps up the pace, you could see this guy in a Red Bull alongside Vetell in 2012.

  • @jc790 well toyota had a lot of problems back then, the massive recalls and the US congress investigation that even the chairman and owner of toyota have to go and testify....but like you said, their loss and sauber's gain....

  • fato kamui kobayashi mito!

    kamui kobayashi fact myth!

  • It's a pity that guy wasn't driving for Toyota all year. They had a good enough car that year.

  • Kobayashi can be champion one day. He has the speed and can put the moves on the best of them. Japan, after all they've contributed to F1, deserve a WDC!

For me the best 'racing' drivers in F1, ie guys that can really do the business wheel to wheel (without taking out the opposition!!), are Hamilton, Button, Kubica and Kobayashi. Been some great battles between them.

  • japanese drivers have generally failed to impress at the highest levels of racing, but this guy has some real talent

  • @Shirazae I agree Kamui is something special and if he ever gets a top car he will be a contender.

  • @Shirazae

You probably mean F1,otherwise you have never heard of "drifting"

  • Jenson Button was on cold tires and full of fuel, but that doesn't take away too much from Kobayashi's achievement. How many rookies in their second ever Grand Prix would have not only the pace, but also the audacity to put a move on the newly crowned world champion?

  • @slungbungdungclung

    Hamilton?

  • @babylon2233 And thats why I compare Kamui to Lewis. They have near identical driving styles that are very much inspired by the great Ayrton Senna. Hamilton is one of Senna's biggest fans, and Kobayashi has Senna's trainer. I would love to these to battling it out for championships, f1 as it should be with plenty of overtaking, maybe then I wouldn't mind who won the championship

  • I totally agree that MSC will soon become a sitting duck to KOB, however, that could be KOB prime target as well, i seem him attempted when he behinds MSC's car but just because Sauber's car is too slow to make it happen.

  • I totally agree that MSC will soon become a sitting duck to KOB, however, that could be KOB prime target as well, i seem him make a his movies when he behind MSC's car but just because Sauber's too slow to make it happen.

  • button still finished ahead that race

  • THUMBS UP 4 KOBAYASHI IN FERRARI AT THE MASSA SLOT IN 2013

  • @lSElkiM sorry mate, kubica deserves that spot. Maybe koba can take webber's or schumi's seat later on

  • @Malinga182 i dont agree, but respect.

  • I instantly became a Kobayashi fan that day... Still am now. The Toyota was a pretty good car that year. But the BMW/Ferrari/Sauber/WTF he's in now is a significant downgrade but he's still managing to finish in the points. I'd like to see him in a more competitive car... perhaps a Mercedes if MSC just realizes his glory days are really done? I dunno... Just get the spectacular driver in a great car!

  • @NowNoon if Mercedes doesn't improve the car for MSC in 2011, MSC will be a sitting duck to KOB

  • SUPERKK

  • great guy, im so happy that hes still in f1

  • omg, what a cam

  • Still a fan! Kobasan! WC 2012!

  • Kobayashi will win the 2012 WDC for the returning Panasonic Toyota-F1.

  • Unfortunately I think that KK has already signed up for another season with Sauber for - I think that he probably could have got a seat with one of the faster teams (such as taking Petrov's place at Renault) - let's hope that Sauber can give him a better car for 2011!

  • @keyakikid Unfortunatly sauber can't deliver that, it would be great to see KK in a good car pulling these overtakes off ;)

  • I wish there were more drivers like Kobayashi in the sport.

I also wish he'd just keep the front wing on the car more often.

  • Great Kobayashi :) !

  • Kobayashi for Ferrari !

    or Renault, lol

  • @Arai4lpinestars no neither he should have vettels' race seat. Japan deserves a race winner and potenially a future world champion

  • @F1guitarfanatic927 VET and WEB are locked in the RBR seats till 2013? BUT and HAM same, who knows. KOB chance is only with Ferrari or Renault after Sauber 2011.

  • put him in a ferrari ! or a red bull XD

  • Great!

  • this is how drivers should drive in the f1

  • Jenson Button sucks. Get Raikkonen in that mclaren please.

  • the new montoya is in the house haha

  • David Coultard is always slating him, i dont know why. he's doing quite well at the moment

  • stop taping from ur tv dumbass

  • wild kobayashi appeared!!!

    jenson used defend!!!

    its not very effective

    kobayashi uses reckless overtake!!!

    its super effective!!!!

    jenson fainted

    kobayashi gains 1 position!!!

  • @PJ2436 wtf?? that was vague and made no sense at all....he was a rookie who made the move while button's tyres were fresh, and it was voted the best overtake of the season, and rightfully so.....Alonso and jenson overtake in almost the same way, dumbass

  • @nitroboost8765 whoa dude, cool it, i was just kidding around....

  • jenson got owned

  • @damiannerd cold tires :P

  • So button was gonna get owned by hamilton? Doesnt seem that way now. They're both top drivers who've had very different careers. Either way kobayashi is a legend who deserves a better car.

  • i hope he wil one day find a good team... give him the right car and he wil be world champion

  • he is a two retire man in australlia gp he kill the car of the williams and toro rosso

  • @kinla123 Yeah because for the first few races that front wing was built frail.

  • beatiful....

  • Kobayashi will advance to Q3 on Saturday.

Chandhok, Senna, Hulkenburg, Petrov, Di Grassi will be eating his Bridgestone Potenza tire shreds.

  • In my opinion Kobayashi is the first serious driver Japan ever had ( ...no offense to the others). Usually Japanese drivers fall in confusion very easy when something go wrong or don't go as they planned. It is related with the Japanese system....( believe me...I lived there 6 years....). Kamui, instead seems to be capable to improvise...to change...to adapt..... of course Japanese people have many good features, but not that!

  • Koby is 50-1 to win Bahrain!...on a track he will be very strong imo!!

  • Im hoping on Kobayashi this year!

  • @laurigun1 He's in the wrong car. He will do nothing in a Sauber. He should go to Renault.

  • now thats a race driver. heres to hoping kobayashi can get people to start passing more

  • i couldn't have said it better myself. just cos jenson got overtaken by a car that was lighter, on the optimum temperature for the tyres it doesn't make him a crap driver. how hard is it to finish all but one race? not many drivers can do that, and hamilton certainly hasn't

  • no doubt Kobayashi is a great prospect (and I'm a big fan). But Button had only just come out of the pit's (cold tires and fueled to the end). Kobayashi was on a long run with much less fuel and tires in operating temperature. That doesn't make Button crap, but to the un-educated F1 fan it would seem that way :).

  • Just because he got over take by a rookie doesn't make him crap. Look at how many overtakes Hamilton pulled in his debut season/race, does that make nearly every other driver out there crap?

  • that tell u that button sucks ass he got raped by a a guy who only raced 2 races in f1 like woow button u got served

  • fuck yeah! Kobayashi go Kobayashi!

  • KICKASS!!!

  • fantastic!!

  • i dont see why people call that dangerous driving... thats a lot of passion and real racing...

  • @paxter82 overtakes a lot like hamilton does, but people say he's more aggressive. I say he's not, at least he can pull off a move comfortably and skillfully without running into anyone, unlike vettel. and improving whereas vettel isnt

  • @paxter82 What was dangerous?

  • @paxter82 They are the type of people who think overtaking should be banned and the top speed reduced to 10MPH.

  • @paxter82 Yeah, you're right thank you for saying that. Lot of people think everything should be clean - but that basically means that nobody is really racing. Anyway Kobayashi is fair - especially against Hamilton because he knows Hamilton will fight to the death.

  • kobayashi is a legend he made button outbrake himself! he made button look like a rookie not the oldie that he realy is

  • @gillard36 and he did it in a toyota..... button needs to kill himself....

  • Kobayashi is FAR more experienced than Yuji Ide. Kamui's aggression isn't that kind of mischief. He deserved the Toyota Young Drivers Programme. Lucky loser Ide was an old dog old tricks racer to enter F1.

  • Goes to show that Kobayashi is ten times the driver Button will ever be. And it bewilders me to think that there's morons out there who actually think Button won that championship of his own merit.

  • Despite the less fuel and warmer tyres, Kobayashi did well to perform that overtake. It would certainly seem as though he has a natural talent for F1, but he needs to be careful not to go down the route of Yuji Ide, and get is racing license revoked for dangerous driving.

  • very good pass

  • jenson championship shows that everything can be possible even when your not talented

  • kamui kobayashi is great driver.

  • hahahha cant wait. raped jenson in brazil and then again in abu dhabi. wonder how worthless button feels, gettin raped twice by a rookie..

cant wait til kobayashi in 2010

  • Remember Alonso vs Massa in China 07. Same situation but Alonso kept his position. Its not about the car, its about the driver. Button is just a lucky dog, he is not a top class driver.

  • @Shevabestfan : You' re right. Especially the Brown Team was cheating with the double difusors since the very beginning of season 2009. Button is a middle class driver.

  • bran wasn cheating, just cever

but yes button is a middle class driver

  • Button is gona get fuked by hamilton

  • @Caseestoner button is so garbage, i agree... hamiltons gonna shit all over button, even in testing this year, kobayashi is consistently faster in a SAUBER...(formally bmw and an underdog)

  • @AsiChicky button sucks can u tell me why he never won world c before ??

  • @ keytek9

yes he had the very best car in the grid, the years when the team was BAR-Honda/Honda he had a good car but didn´t made anything out of it and now he had the very best car in the first races, in the last races other cars where nearly the barwns and so he couldnt win anymore cause the other teams, special red bull and Mclarren, had the better driver, but he won the championship because of his won pionts in the first races with the superior brawn

  • He over took only because he was carrying lighter fuel and with warmer tyres. You can't compare the two vehicles when one of them has just came out of the pits.

  • @Dabayare You cant compare a Brawn car to a toyota either. So I think it was pretty equally matched.

  • @howlikedat a heavy brawn with cold tyres is slower than a lighter toyota on warm tyres, i think you underestimate the difference that tyre temperatures make in F1

  • @Dabayare Nevertheless, a stellar first performance by the rookie....I feel that thois is a good overtake because he got straight down to buisiness, and overtook straight away instead of waiting for button to get his tyre upto temperature

  • @Dabayare but this was his first race. he was amazing..

  • @Dabayare same scenario happened on Silverstone 2010, this time KOB was in front of MSC and MSC could not pass.

  • 2nd Race in F1, and he MERKED the new champion.

Can't wait til he gets some competitve Kit.

  • jenson was just humiliated

  • I absolutely love this guy's agression! Look forward to seeing him race a full season!

  • Spectacular driving by Kobayashi. Look forward to seeing him drive next season.

  • hahahahaha! i love this clip! Mr Button got OWNED. Well in Kamui. Good luck with Sauber in 2010! :)

  • he will race sauber with ferrari engines!

  • kamui is a future star FOR SURE.
