The investigation was not carried out in a proper scientific manner. The investigators should have removed or relocated the children from the house for a few days and then observed whether or not the apparent paranormal activity continued. If it did then the children were the main factor and it would suggest it was a hoax. If however, the strange events carried on without the children present then that would suggest that the children were not faking it.

Funny how a lot of these happenings were in the most talked about movie the exorcist, only made four years before. All common peoples houses had net curtains, you never used to open these, why were they open just when she was floating for all utside to see.

The girls thought this was funny (they used to play tricks) why wasn't they frightened. Millions was spent by the airforce to try and levitate a flying saucer, why didn't they studdy how she did it. Why no motion pictures.

At that time it would have been Super8 not video and indoor lighting would have made it very difficult to get decent film, have a look at size of lighting systems that would have been needed.

I doubt it. Parapsychology in the 1970's was not recognised as a serious field of study by majority of academics in the UK and becoming involved in it spelt death knoll for your career. Secondly the type of equipment you are talking about was not available at that time. A lot of British TV programmes were still live broadcasts at that time. Besides why would the baker's delivery driver and a lolliipop lady lie about what they saw. What did they get out of it.

If you look at the totality of evidence in this case, the number of witnesses- I think you might not be so dismissive. There was a very good book written about it called This House Is Haunted. It's long out of print but you might be able to get it through your library. Personally, I think this is one of the most convincing and well documented cases ever.
