  • is this a test

  • this song is about my life

  • Tool is a genre all its self known as kick ass!

  • Its just a smile.

  • this song sounds so better with the boss player

  • let's just say Tool is fucking awesome and leave it at that!

  • Actually, it's a mind ride....no fucking envolved! Although, you may be inclined to feel as though you have a hundred horny women hanging from your testicles...it's just TOOL being TOOL....Thanks to my cat"Keenan" for his input...no gods envolved here! Peace

  • i don't know how to describe tool, but i can say they fuck with my brain, its an orgy in my ear

  • @21Rushisaband12 thats called mindfuck

  • @MrFootball102 You did. There's one, only one.

  • this song kills shit, keep doin your thing boys!!!

  • ... is this a test?

  • @pancakemaster12 ..it has to be..

  • I'll never forget the first time I heard this song live. It was absolutely glorious.

  • @TheDreamMechanic well...someone is going to hell...lmao

  • Tool succede in, simultaniously, being the heaviest and most melodic heavy metal band of ALL TIME

  • @MaidenFloydTallica13 Tool is not metal. Adam once said that when he heard people classify Tool as metal it made him want to take a bath. Tool is Tool not metal.

  • @Stinkfist43 I believe two of their three grammies says "Best Metal Performance" on it. Genre is a matter of opinion, whether you're in the band who makes the music or not. Usually its the fans and listeners outside the band that determine its genre. Now I'm not saying that Tool is solidly metal, but there are many instances in all of their albums that reflect metal classification and/or arrangement/instrumentation.

  • @brutalhonesty Tool isn't about genre. It's about using passion in varying forms to communicate with people on a spiritual level. Now go back to your Slipknot.

  • @f0cus711 I never said the genre mattered, i was proving a point. From a modern and traditional standpoint, tool exemplifies many instrumental patterns, riffs, voicing, and drum rudiments from the metal genre. They also have many other elements outside of it. And music (outside mainstream artists) is about using passion in varying forms to communicate on a spiritual level. I could give a fuck, they are a good band. But the slipknot shot at me just shows how little about music you really know.

  • @Stinkfist43 most definately!!!!

  • this helped me with my herpes ...everythings going to be okay...

  • LOL @ the people who think the "this helped me through" stories are true... americans most likely, with their lack of understanding of sarcasm :')

  • This song helped me get through a really hard time in my life. My father was going through chemotherapy and radiation when he had lung cancer and I felt like killing myself several times while watching him suffer through the treatments. The Patient made me realise that there were to be rewards at the end of all this pain and suffering my dad was going through. And of course there were- he made it alot longer than he was told he would!

  • @exreptile666 Dude I feel your pain, for the past 3 years my mom has been an addict and ive been abused by her now she is finally getting out of her addiction but says she cant remember most parts of her life, hurts every time i think about it but what dosn't kill you will make you stronger.

  • Well, I just might sit home and listened to Tool all day long. (Aramis Deceives) See?

  • I <3 TOOL .........!!! is so amazing

  • This might be my favorite tool song. Hell it might even be my favorite song. It is so good.

  • I'm curious...

"If there were no desire to heal

The damaged and broken met along this tedious path Ive chosen here,

I certainly wouldve walked away by now."

Is maynard suggesting that damaged and broken people be avoided like the plague, or that they're partially at fault? Anyone care to elaborate on this? I'd like to hear your thoughts. Thanks =)

  • AWSOME SONG!!!!

  • What?!?!? Listening to TOOL cured your AIDS? OF COURSE! Why didnt I think of that?!

Quick!! Get everyone you know with AIDS to listen to Tool!

  • beaware that the gay pride parade might play tool then we dont want that. lol xD tool rocks

  • @theishjort Dude... you an ass holes. Im a homosexual and i love tool, its the most phylasophical band in the world. Honestly you cant say you love one if you havnt learned to love the other

  • @TOOL3rdEyeDmt Well at least you have your books.

  • 2:21 = instant eargasm

  • yeah, I came out my ears right about there

  • Yep, me too

  • This song cured my AIDS!

  • this song helps me see the posers in the world thinking they are tool fans but they aren't they are just trying 2 hard 2 be accepted.

  • you can see that in all tool songs, always talking about something like.. "the song is about... puppies."

  • "OMG U GUIZ U RNT REEL FANS CUZ I LIEKD MAYNARD B4 HE WUZ BORN!!!!1" Lol unwarranted self-importance.

I'm sorry, I just never got the whole "real fan"/"poser" argument. Isn't being a fan defined simply by whether or not you ENJOY something? I didn't know there was a special criteria involved in order to like music.

There is no "fake" fan, and someone who liked Tool from their launch is not more superspecial than someone who just found them yesterday. Either you like an artist or you don't.

  • I think it comes with a feeling. Wether or not you understand the music or were the first one to actually really listen to Tool (which would be a far fetched claim IMO) would be beside the point. There are plenty of artists that I listen to that I don't really *listen* to the same way that I listen to Tool.

It's not the same energy. I think that is what differentiates those who could be considered "fans" and those who could be considered as "posers". It has to do with their energy about Tool.

  • I would also say that everyone has that potential with any number of different things. Which means we are all fans of *SOMETHING*.

  • thanks for posting, otherwise i may have never heard this album.

  • this song makes me express my inner self as i deficate into my toilet of despair, an ocean of poo filled with deep irrational toilet paper.

    (im was being sarcastic)

  • that doesn't make any god-damn sense!

  • exactly, now you've got it.

  • I'm sitting here, writing a swedish essay and I can't say this song doesn't help me.

  • this song helped me conquer my anger and agrivation

  • This song cleared my acne!

  • @bopchik68

This song cured my cancer! Seriously.

  • @whitewolf262 WOW, I hope you are serious! If so, congratulations

  • @bopchik68

Yeah, I am serious. . . Thanks. I listened to this song every day.

  • @whitewolf262 Again, congratulations! I'm not surprised a Tool song could put you in such a positive mind space that it did help you through it all. May Tool bless you through the years to come!! Stay healthy my friend :)

  • @bopchik68 shit! HOW? What did you do? How did you listen?

  • this song helped me cheat my way through the first grade. thanks tool thank you so much.
