Derek's Leads and general playing was so positively BADASS - hearing Jordan's weak attempt with his "sound-a-like" version in '02 on the SDOIT tour was the beginning of the end in terms of new DT material for myself. *Especially* when their next album was a self-proclaimed "Classic Metal" album that Rudess simply wasn't not suited for (he's freely admitted he's not a fan of and doesn't know much about the \m/etal) but that Derek, his Monster Lead & Distorted B3 playing would have *killed* on.

@scarred2112 I am sorry but Jordan shits on Derek, IMO. His lead talents and hand speed are unmatched. The kid was admitted to Julliard as a child for crying out loud. Maybe Jordan didnt catch on early, but he certainly has now, starting from blind faith and on.

In truth N5 has a WAH distorted effect, by pressing more the key, or pulling the cutoff wheel to the left or to the right.. But I am wondering if I can have THAT precise sound. Anyway, nice playing, pal, compliments!

@Space4Keys looks nice, but still out of my price range. i'm a college student and my primary instrument is guitar, so i can't spend too much on extra instruments. plus my mom already got the Casio for me, it's a Christmas present and its the cheapest keyboard that has a pitch wheel on it. but thanks, i'll definitely look into that Korg if i ever have the money for one
