If these books were turned into a movie or movies it would flop. All the "fans" would get all upset because it doesn't match their vision of the way it should be done. People that think because they read it makes them smart. Most do not understand that when transfering a story to a different type of media it will always change the story and characters slightly. My pet peve: People who always say "the book was better". They are 2 different things, you fools!!

The only problem with making movies for these books is that it absolutely has to be done right! It is so big that pieces cannot be cut out! It can't be done like the Eragon movie... I think it has to be done by Peter Jackson.

It would be epic if they did - assuming they did a good job. If The Wheel of Time could be made as well as Lord of the Rings but one 3 hour movie per book, that would be sick... will never happen though, but it WOULD be sick. Only the movies would take as long as the dang books did.

Oh, dang, that would be spectacular! There's just so much imagery and stuff in them that it would make for a really great movie series, especially if they did it for all the books. That would be...long o_O. But because it is so long, they're probably thinking of turning it into a TV series, like they did with The Sword of Truth books. They would likely consider it to be too long for movies, and I don't think that there's a single book besides the prologue that's under 600 pages. It'd be a bummer

It's a video game, not a book. There's nothing "to get." The game isn't even about the Single Player aspect, and it especially isn't about the storyline.

If you want the Wheel of Time books, go read them. They are very good. If you want to play a very good game that does slightly resemble the books, play this game.

There's nothing more to understand.

Considering that it was released in 1999 --almost ten years ago-- and that the game used a highly-modified version of the original Unreal game engine... It's no surprise that the graphics (even those in this pre-rendered cutscene) are below those of todays standards.

If it had the exact same plotline as the books, no one would buy it or see the movie based on WoT if there ever will be one, because all of the fascinating things like political discussions and long scenes that are fine on paper are as boring as hell on the big screen. This was a great game, I've played it, and it solves to problem of creating a system for channeling perfectly by makinh your character an abominably weak Aes Sedai. People are not reading anymore. Let the people who do continue.

I think the game is fine like it is. I mean, seriously people, if the game had the exact same plot line as the books, it would ruin the point of even writing the books. People would just buy the game and learn what happens in the books that way. The company would lose tons of money from people buying one game instead of twelve books. They would be probably make more money if they made a movie series due to the generation's loss of people that actually LIKE to read.

Just break it down to its core melodramatic theme and the movies would be a hit. Eragon was just barely on the line of greatness, the author of Eragon pulled it off greatly, but if you think about the plot and characters of Eragon it is not that different from most other fantasy books, the setting is what is amazing about it.

Play the game for it's own story and not compare it to the books and you will have a enjoyable time. People play multiplayer, tournaments still take place, but most people who play talk to each other and set up nights where people can have good, competitive games.

Nope. Not even if you have a ter'angreal, because they're not owned by any one Aes Sedai; they're owned by the Tower. You have to be able to channel a significant amount to become Aes Sedai, otherwise they teach you to use it safely then turn you away, just like they did to Morgase.

But Cadsuane owns her ter'angreal because no one else knows they're ter'angreal. They were given to her by a little old woman in a hut in the Black Hills, remember? With a sufficient number of well ter'angreal, even a person of Morgase's power can pass for a strong Aes Sedai. Given time, of course.

A well ter'angreal like Cadsuane's isn't an angreal. A well ter'angreal only allows you to store more of the Power, not wield much more than you normally would be able. Bottom line is, when you're tested for the Shawl you are sent into the rings naked, so you can't have any ter'angreal, angreal,or sa'angreal with you. So you can't mask it and be a strong channeler when you aren't.
