When I was a young trumpet player and band leader starting out (35 years ago!) I used to teach the singers about breathing and phrasing. Once you have those aspects under control, the singing becomes much easier because you're no longer fighting the physical limitations.

Here are a few tips:

Practice singing in long phrases. Every time you stop the chords they must reset and find the register again. This forces you to resort to breathing from your gut, with long in and out movements.

WOW. Just... WOW. After hearing a lot of my favorite songs butchered via YouTube covers, I was INCREDIBLY surprised to hear this version. There's so many different layers as to why I love your version of this song so much- the best one being how classic your voice sounds. You didn't over do the notes by singing unnecessary ones; you sang what you felt needed to be sung, and you did an amazing job at it.

This was just so many shades of amazing.

@dyemooch  The production and background and singing is an exact copy of Dusty Springfield. This woman is probably using Dusty's music, like in a kareoke. While her singing is good shes no match for "the Mistress".

@pushkint1 I never intended what you have implied in your comment. Dusty is my inspiration and this is one of her favourite pieces from her. My vocals are my own and I performed the song how I felt it emotionally at that point of time.
