The term 'trireme' is a reference to the number of banks of oarsmen. You are correct that there were large differences in the types of warships deployed (the Persian ships being heavier than the Greek warships and carrying more marines). However, they were still of the trireme class of ship and the description is therefore accurate.
I'll try and make this clearer when we eventually remake this video.
You went into trouble to make this whole detailed video, and didnt cared enough to speak a little bit clear? FGS man I am having trouble to understand a word you are saying. You just throw your effort to waste.
@flemmington17 interesting subject, very little ancient history is taught in my school. Still, hope this helped; and if you have any questions just ask. Also (if it's not too bold to ask) it would be great if you could say to your teacher to recommend us to other teachers and people interested in history; trying to increase awareness of our group. Also, we've recently launched a website which has a library of historical sources, an online forum and articles on various historical topics.
@flemmington17 Most of people reading Greceo-Persian Wars and thing that Persians just invade Greeks from the East. You have to realize that persians did a common attack to Greece with Carthagenians attacking the Greek Colonies at Sicily, there at the battle of Himera (and few More) a Corinthian General stop a massive army of Carthageneans. Its was a global war that tried to bow down the West Culture. Also Greco-Persian wars didnt ended at the battle of Platea,Greeks did counter-attacks to Persia
