Goosebump city - amazing memories of the late, great DJ Angus dropping this in Brisbane during Sasha and Digweed's Northern Exposure tour round '97. Headliners couldn't get there on the night and played later in the week thank god, but it was Angus who stepped up and delivered the goods once it was clear they wouldn't appear..and that piano break @5:48, oh man - place going wild, whoops and hands in the air. Brill snapshot for the memory books (clubbing and dance music has given me lots!)
Since then, Trance wasn't synonymous with Progressive House anymore. The "Trance" label acquired a bad name due to its superstar status and its overused signature formula, while Progressive House managed to maintain its prestige, and kept evolving to the present times.
this track remained at heart to me all these years, there is something special about it, has passion, elegance and appeal written all over it, it is hypnotic in the loveliest of ways.
This was probably the last example i heard in this genre, marking the end of of an era. While Goa Trance was forced underground, the club side of Trance (loosely labeled as Progressive House in those days) had flourished and reached the peak and was now into the decline phase.
@vampiroy .Cant give you a download link as this is recorded from vinyl and uploaded. If you know of a decent filesharing service then I could upload it for you to down load.
