  • I think the damned refers to the devil (evil) and Father's Son (God the Fathers son-Jesus or good) He is one sick SOB. Most likely an older man, a pedafil, a deviet. When he says Never let it happen again that is what he wishes for but he knows the only way to stop his addiction is to take that gun and destroy the evil within or it never will stop. Just my opinion, though. Maybe I watch way too much Law and Order. LOL

  • how is this sad?

  • @SuperDumbassVideos read the comment below

  • @96Jeroen96 thats not sad... that made me chuckle.

  • man buys prostitute takes her anger out on her by having sex with her really hard making it very painful and then leaves sees his daughter and realizes hes almost living two lives like his father abusive one side and not the other. an he throws the gun yelling im not my fathers son and vows to change

  • @TimberNightSong its talking about a man who buys a prostitute, has sex with her, and beats her to death. he feels guilty about it because he thinks of his daughter and hes ready to commit suicide but he throws the gun and yells "im not my fathers son" because he doesnt want to follow in his fathers footsteps which im guessing is an abusive man. hope i helped (:

  • big mistake in lyrics

  • I know ^^

  • u did good thou!

  • Why? The lyrics are sad yet well done without mistakes :-)

  • can someone explain to me wat this songs about? thanks (:

  • I believe its about a man that buys a prostitute and hurts her really bad, then has regrets about it. He doesn't want to be like his father. (maybe the anger or something)

  • In the beginning it looks like a prostitude girl. and a man who pays her.

Later on that man thinks about his wife and the girl. And thinks about a daughter what would become of her.

Because she might become a prostitude?

  • i think its about a man who kills a 17 year old prostitute. He then thinks about his daughter and wife, and wonders what would happen and how he would feel if that happened to his daughter, and how he doesn't want it to happen again.

  • He diden't kill her, fucktard listen

  • @Tyreall101

You don't have to be mean about it.

  • @Tyreall101 its possible that he did kill her.. u r the one that should rather listen to the lyrics. "It's been a month since her saw her face underneath the blood stained gown". He's talking about the prostitute and u can interpret it both way..

  • @Rurakiko he did't kill her .

she was a vergin and that what they mean when they say " underneath the blood stained gown"

  • He doesnt kill her, just had sex with her. I agree with the rest touh'

    ~Sizthree

  • in the begining it's not a man it's the damned

  • it's my dad.. :( ya, it's sad.

  • hey. this lyrics video is so awesome. could u make one for indestructible by the band disturbed

  • im gong to say this very simple every song a person chooses to listen to has a direct effect on that person in their own way mabe people shouldn't critisize how a song effects a certain person mabe the should worry about hoe that song effects them instead (thats just what i think)

  • Okay everyone saying their interpretations, I would like to say mine. This song talks about the mistakes this mans father made in his life. Whether it be to maybe have a child at a young age, go to strippers for pleasure, drink away his feelings, or anything. He chooses not to do that as well, and walking down alone, means that he left the girl he impregnated, and he hopes that doesn't happen to his daughter. He won't let it happen again, basically. Also, the lyrics are wrong on this vid.

  • So sad.: (

  • regardless of what the lyrics mean, it's still an amazing song!

  • I think that it's about a prostitute that sells herself to a man "lays his money down" but only does it because she needs money. When it says "it's been a month since he saw her face" the guy who basically raped her was thinking about her and what if his daughter would be like that. Near the end since it makes the reference to the devil and his soul then he says "I am not my father's son" I think he is talking about God. Since he's done these things he thinks he's not worthy of God.

  • I think that is the great thing about words and songs, so many people have their own view about what it means.

  • i dont get what this song is about?? can someone tell me

  • Ok this is not just 4 u but 4 all the people who dont get the song, this si wat I think happened. The father rapes a girl. the son then is in a bar and sees a girl like the one his father raped. He thinks about his daughter and he does not wanna drink this all away like his father did. That is what I think this song is about, but I am more then likely wrong.

  • i read th lyrics an it makes since verymuch ..... thx anyways i under stood as soon as my bestfriend told me ...

  • the line is actually "ive bundled up all of these fears inside", not things. but this is so awesome that this song it on here... i love this song and yet there are hardly any videos. ^_^

  • i understand the lyrics and the story. but is that at all connected to his father. or is it just a figure of speech??

  • Most likely a figure of speech I guess

  • i think it means the religious use for 'father' as i God

  • No, he's saying he won't make the same mistakes his father made. He was drinking away the sight of the girl in the alley. "One hand throws the whiskey, the other throws the gun as he cries out to the heavens i am not my father's son." He doesn't want to have to drink his pain away like his father did.

  • Youre lyrics are wrong at second line, it's The damned walked in beside her.:) Love this song.

  • How do you do the lyrics for a video I can't figure out how to do it.

  • I love this song,

It has such a strong message, it's such a sad song

  • nice pic at 0.18

    strong song :)

  • It's 'The damned walked in beside her' - second line.

Even so, I love this song, and I'm glad someone has lyrics up.

  • you messed up it's not "I've learned this all night" it's "I'll end this all tonight"

  • this song has some many messages but i love it

  • such a sad song

  • It's not a man came in. It's the damned came in....

  • thats a sad song..

  • I love this song so much!!
