The burst of sunlight Gandalf used was so bright that it overwhelms sight. It doesn't matter whether the Uruk-hai are weakened by sunlight like common Orcs. It was just meant to blind them temporarily and make them easier to attack. I dare anyone who scoffed at that to stare at a flashbang when it goes off. See how many Riders you can take out then ;)

okay i read all of the damn books first of all the Elves never came to help the men of Rohan they had to fight the uruk-hai and also it wasn't just uruk-hai at helms deep also there were wild men from dunlnad but you got to admit Peter Jackson did his best to make the Movies as good as possible as he could. still Uruk-hai are better soldiers then elves I will challenge you in lord of the rings battle for middle earth if you want to try

this is my favorite battle in the whole trilogy because Helms Deep got every detail of the movie correct and most detail fight other than the battle of Minas Tirith but I got to say i would rather have ten thousand uruk-hai for an army because one of them can kill so many of the elves and men only the main characters can kill them easily but the other stunt men die so easily. SOOOOOOOOOOOO ROOOOOOCK ON! Can't wait for them to come out with the hobbit!
