It's amazing! I already said it in the comment of black lodge part 1! This sequence and this absolutely wonderful song are just PERFECT for the beginning of the black lodge sequence!!! It's like a presentation!! And the mood of it, it's so freaky, so spooky! With all that flashing lights and the midget dancing and cooper watching... my god! A perfect way to end one of the greatest TV shows of all time!!!
This Black Lodge scene and Cooper's first dream give me the shivers every time I watch them. They're so unique, so powerful, so dreamy... so "pure". Ony Lynch can come up with something like that.
Twin Peaks is a masterpiece. The kind of show that was way ahead of TV at its time and still is today.
No, Nakedbad, you are wrong. This song is actually dialogue from the old, old script of David's he never produced from 1970's 'Ronny Rocket' It is the words of a whore trying to seduce a man in the street...check it out - but only in the FIRST DRAFT. Sorry for correcting you.
Love Twin Peaks, and have grate respect for David L. But he actualy stole this song from a-ha`s Sycamore Leaves after they (Paul) sent it to him, cause he wanted him to make the video for a-ha.
Jimmy Scott is the singer there -- he's in his 80s now, never hit puberty due to a rare genetic condition, and still records. His story's fascinating -- decades of not singing, rediscovered in his late 60s, and David Lynch played a big part in that. I urge all who enjoyed this to check out his music. Thanks for sharing the video -- I wasn't aware of who he was at the time, and haven't seen this since the episode aired on TV.
By some reason, this scene really gives you a feeling of a full circle, that it is the finale episode (besides being both beautiful and kind of scary)...
Another Great Singer from Cleveland.

Fuck ABC for ruining such a brilliant TV series. They should have never taken away control from Lynch & Frost.
