@AlintraxAika LOL, it's a template, like those word templates with lame example text and borders. The idea is to use ones own models and extend the basic logic into something playable. Yep, I got lazy and didn't finish it, but didn't want it to rot since some people find the techniques useful and want to see the files...

@bubbletanking blender is more of a modeling software id get unity its free i use it whatcha wanna do is make the guns and characters nd cars/etc in blender and make the map[s], scripts/scripting, and houses in unity (thats how i do it) its better

everything i hit on my game my character goes right through the building or slope. how did you make yours to where it doesnt do that?

If you open up the project file you will see (or maybe not see) the truck is riding on an invisible rectangle that does the actual collision. The engine has improved a bit, so that hack may be no longer necessary, but it does reduce a lot of calculations having the truck ride on an invisible sled, rather than all the polygons in each wheel.

how did you loaded the textures in the game.

I have tried even with blender 2.48 to load textures in a game but i cant'

I load the images, i use them as textures for an object but, i cannot see any textures in the game (after i press the " P " Button).

The game engine doesn't use the UV editor textures; they are for drawing only. The game engine uses image "Texture Type" under the texture buttons (F6). Can't link here so search for blender noob to pro tutorials.

that message means that blender crashes because either your computer is not good enough.. or you're making the game process too much, try using less vertices/faces in your objects - and possibly you may have too many objects.

I'm thinking of making a game tutorial. They (Blender) just came out with a new version. I haven't played with it yet. I think I am waiting for the to re-do the interface. When that happens I would just have to do it over. I guess I can make a small tutorial though. I can create a helicopter game in under 5 minutes but explaining it (correctly) on cam at the same time is quite another thing!

The old way doesn't work anymore since they merged UV face select with edit mode in Blender 2.46. However, it is better performance to use a transparent texture (of muddy windshield for example) and under Shading (F5) Material, crank the alpha down as desired. You won't see changes until you press P.

well ill i know his how to fix the driving in the sky. Make sure gravity is on and add a touch sensor and connect it to all of ur movement accuators so it will only move in it is touching the ground. U might have figured this out though since it was a month ago
